VCA Pets Are People Too Veterinary Hospital (Ansley)

This is the absolute worst vet iv ever been to in 20 yrs. My dog that was perfectly healthy came down with heart worms after testing negative multiple times along with the over prided Meds she was on the entire time. I only found out when I noticed something different in her behavior. I was told it would be another 1400 for heart worm treatment. I have found a wonderful vet that is very friendly along with the staff in chamblee. Well-point humane. The cost only 390. Wow what a difference and a happier 3 yr old dog.

I read the other reviews and I'm not sure we were talking about the same place. At least for the Ansley location, both my sister and her pets and my cat and dog go here. When my sister's dog was very sick, they took him in as emergency and kept him for several days to nurse him to health. The doctors there know the dog well and when I brought in my puppy, they were quick to relate the two and ask how the other was doing. They've always been friendly, patient, and helpful with us.

AWFUL SERVICE!! IT USE TO BE PET FRIENDLY OFFER GOOD CARE NOW IT GONE CORPORATE!! STAY AWAY!!! I use to go to this vet when it was pets-r-peopl-too. I paid $12.50 to get my 2 dogs anal glands expressed the total was $25 plus tax for the both of them OK they change names.. I brought my 2 dogs in to get their anal glads express. Well when I went to check out the total was $56 dollars for both of them.. I was blown away that was HIGHWAY ROBERY.. I paid it but I am going to report the to the better BBB because they should warn consumers that their prices are double.. THIS VET IS A RIP OFF, THEY ALSO WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY NEED TO RUN ALL SORTS OF TEST ON YOUR PET THAT YOU DO NOT NEED JUST TO GET MONEY OUT OF YOU. THIS IS A CORPORATION THAT ALL ABOUT MONEY NOT THE CARE OF THE PET. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!...

We have only EVER used this vet as an after hours emergency care but I will NEVER again go. They try to nickel and dime you and if you challenge any services they try to make you seem like you are under informed about your pets condition so you will fork over the cash. We went in for a service that would cost 100 bux at my normal vet and they wanted to keep my dog overnight and charge $1200! Made my wife feel like a bad mother for not doing it. I eventually got them to charge $270 for the overnight care and the service so why and what was the 1200 for? I only left our dog because of the guilt trip they laid on my wife. The next day our normal vet @ Buckhead Animal Clinic said she would have been five to go home with us! Do your wallet and your pet a favor and check out other emergency vets in Decatur
