We've been using the services of the VCA folks for almost 7 years, for our two guinea pigs and more recently our dog. My wife and son went there ( at a friends recommendation) due to some issues with one of the guinea pigs, it turned out he had cancer and needed to be put to sleep. The staff and vet were very caring and sensitive about it, making a traumatic experience as comfortable as possible, letting them visit with him for the last time as long as they needed. The vet sent us a nice personal letter later which was appreciated. They also took care to be gentle on visits with the remaining guinea pig over the years, and diagnosed a tricky skin problem with him, enabling him to live a long and happy life. We wound up needing surgery on our dog last year, and they took the same care to treat him well, and apprise us in detail of the process and costs, did not get any surprises, and he healed up fine. They do a good job of alerting us to any necessary shots etc. in plenty of time. Costs seem to be in line with the average, maybe a tad more, but the quality of care and personnell is worth it.
