The Good and bad..., 12/15/2010

I went to Valenti for about 7 years, and had been to 4 stylists there, so I think I can offer a pretty well-rounded review. I went to one stylist in particular for almost 6 of those years, who was... very good. I stopped going to her due to the fact that I just thought after 6 years, it was time for a change, and a fresh eye on my hair. In those 6 years, I really couldn't complain; the receptionist staff were most of the time pretty nice (with the exception of a couple of times), and my hair usually looked great. \r\rHowever, I recently switched stylist and decided to try Melissa out. At first, she seemed to be pretty nice and know what she was doing. But even on the first visit, she was in a major hurry and somewhat rough when she would grab various sections of my hair to highlight it. I knew the salon had overbooked her that day, but I still felt it was no excuse to act in this manner; also, when her assistant seated me, she automatically sat me in front of a computer, without asking if I'd prefer to just sit in a typical chair sans the computer (sorry, but I kinda like to see what the stylist is doing while she's doing it, call me crazy); when I asked if she would mind if I sat in a typical chair, she developed an attitude and still ""pushed"" me into sitting in a chair with a computer blocking the view. I sit in front of a computer ALL day for my job, so it's nice to get away from the computer occassionally.\r\rI went one more time to just see if maybe Melissa (and her ass't) had just had a bad day the last time, but was disappointed again. Once again, she was really rough when she grabbed parts of my hair to highlight it and always seems like she's in a major hurry. It could just be her personality, but still, give me a break. She was also VERY pushy about wanting me to buy some products each time before I paid. \r\rOn a side note, I also don't like how at Valenti, no matter who styles your hair, the assistant is the one who checks to see if your color

Love my new stylist, 9/26/2010

The customer service manager recently recommended an alternate stylist for me to see after the stylist who did my hair for 6 years recently left and the result was beyond my expectations!!! Should... have made the change 5 years ago...\r\rI will continue to go to Valenti for my hair and nail services... love the staff and the results

Best Salon In Town

I have been going to Valenti Salon for over 4 years and can honestly say that it is has been my favorite salon. I have always been difficult to please when it comes to my hair cut & color, but that has totally changed. My stylist has an incredible talent to get the style and color right every time! I have recommended Valenti to many friends and family . They are always so pleased with the detail to service and friendly atmosphere. I am new at writing reviews, but I felt they needed to be recognized. Thank you Valenti Staff for making my ""ME"" time relaxing and enjoyable.

Awesome Experience!

I've been going to Valenti for years and can't say enough great things about them. Their customer service is definitely the best and my hair looks incredible each and every time. I would highly recommend them. And they are currently offering a great Girlfriend Getaway promotion ... I'm booked next week!

Avoid this place like the Plague!

I went to the Beechmont location. The employees seemed miserable and/or hungover, the receptionist was such a snob (I think her name was Anna...), and I just overall didn't enjoy this experience one bit. My Stylist was ok but I won't be going back because the place was just way to snobby for where they are located and everyone seemed so unhappy. I'd give them ZERO stars if it were an option!

Wonderful Experience!

I just moved to Cincinnati from New York a month ago and was not sure how I was going to like any Salon compared to the one I went to in New York. My neighbor recommended Valenti to me and I could kiss her I love it so much there. I felt welcome right when I walked in the door. My stylist/colorist is amazing and I am mad at myself for even doubting Cincinnati. \rThank you to Valenti for welcoming me to the city and giving me a great experience!
