    Surgery for Blackie

My dog Blackie came home from the dog park limping . My veterinarian here in Costa Mesa said he need TPLO Surgery. The cost was over $5,000.00. I went online and found Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic and spoke to Ron Richards. He was very helpful and made the process very easy and I am 2 hours from Tijuana. After getting there I spoke with Dr. Fimbres who also was very nice and was the Orthopedic Specialist. He recommended TTA Surgery and the cost was very reasonable. They took Blackie in that day for surgery and he was released the following day. I am very happy with Vet Playas and their the professional service. Best regards and God Bless Lee Ann Thompson PS They allowed me to look in on the surgery, here is one of the photos I took.

    Torn ACL

What a special place. My dog A & W needed ACL surgery. I am a working Mother and the cost was too high at my vet in San Diego. A friend told me about going to Tijuana for her dental and I found Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic. The surgeon Dr. Fimbres was very nice and accommodating. I was nervous about going to Tijuana, but had no choice if I wanted to have the surgery. The surgery they recommended was TTA Surgery. The vet in San Diego said TTA or TPLO, but I understand they are very similar. TTA Surgery seems to have the best recovery time as per the net. The cost was 1/3 the price I was quoted in San Diego, which was great news to me. I am glad I went, they also gave me a Medical Fast Pass and crossing back only took 30 minutes. All in all it was a very good experience.

Hello and thanks for reading my review. I came down from San Clemente because my dog was hit by a car. My sister has been going to Vet Playas for a couple years. The cost was very reasonable and they have great service. They keep me updated the entire time. My dog was there for a week in recovery. Thanks to Dr. Fimbres my dog is walking again.

TTA Surgery for my dog Max. Max had a torn ACL and could not walk. I found Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic on google. I called and they gave me the prices right upfront, no games. The other clinics I called advertised a good price, but by the time you included the extras the cost was 4,000 +. I later read Vet Playas reviews on yelp and that confirmed I found the right place. The TTA Surgery worked fine and Max is starting to walk. Its only been 2 weeks and I will report on his progress. I am very happy with Dr. Fimbres and Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic. If your dog has a torn ACL, look into TTA Surgery it is the way to go. Alex

This clinic was so great! They got me in on a Sunday morning. I took my cat Sammy in for his Teeth Cleaning, it have been years since I had them cleaned. The entire clinic was clean and neat! The staff members and the Doctors were so nice, friendly and very helpful. I saw Dr. Fimbres and you can tell he all really love pets. My Sammy needed 4 teeth extracted, plus updated vaccinations. I also felt good they did a blood test before using anesthesia I was a little worried since I my Sammy is older. The prices were very reasonable too. I am very happy with the work they did on Sammy and we will be back soon.

My Dog was poisoned, thank God for Vet Playas Emergency Service. I live next to a construction site and they must have put out rat poison. My dog was vomiting and having seizures. I rushed him down there and Dr. Yareli Cisneros is very knowable and jumped right into action. My dog had to stay the night but is all better now. Great job Vet Playas and Dr. Cisneros.

The most amazing Vet and clinic I have ever taken my dog Princes to. Princes is 10 years old and needed teeth cleaning and some extractions. I also had her groomed while she was under the anesthesia. From the moment we walked in the staff treated Princes exceptionally well, like a Princes. Her Vet Dr. Fimbres is very knowledgeable and explains things so well. I also saw Dr. Yareli Cisneros who also was very knowledgeable and sweet. I highly recommend Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic. I couldn't possibly be happier.

They took him right into surgery. His rear leg was broken. He is fine now and happy as can be. Great job Vet Playas

Its Sunday so I gave my dog a treat and had him cut and washed. I guess it was more of a treat for me than him, but anyway he smells good. Vet Playas did a great job. Very happy and pleased with the results. Have a nice weekend.

Hello and thank you for reading my review. I also agree with Chrissy, the negative reviews seem to be fake. I read these reviews after going there. I first found Vet Playas on yelp and stumbled onto this site. Which I also like. My dog Baby is a Yorkie and she is 6 years old. I came in for teeth cleaning. The price was so much cheaper than my vet in San Diego that I had to try it. I was nervous crossing the border, but after I got there I felt fine. I went to the beach had lunch and did some shopping. It was a long day, but well wroth the saving. The next day Baby was fine, great breath (thank God) and her teeth were white again, minus 2 teeth that were extracted. I have already told my friend about Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic. Baby and I thank you....;)

I went to Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic for an MRI. The price in San Diego was over $2,000.00. They were only $600.00. It was well wroth the drive. I am now recommending them to all my friends and family. They even emailed me photos of them performing the MRI. I am attaching one of the photos. Thanks Vet Playas for the great service.

Fake comments alert. Read this REAL review first!

Please read carefully all the one star reviews on this website and the other negative reviews on the internet (other than the yelp reviews which appear to be genuine). I am fairly certain THEY ARE FAKE and have been produced by a single source trying to hurt this business. It looks like an internet SMEAR campaign against Vet Playas. Whoever doesn't like them (a competitor?) has gone to great lengths to write a series of negative reviews about this business...including producing you tube videos! If you read these reviews they are all worded similarly and provide very little detail. My partner Julie and I are actual customers of this vet. We live in San Diego. We have brought our dog Arthur in twice and we could not be happier with the service we have received. I also work enough on the internet to know fake comments/videos/postings when I see them. All are worded similarly and are spread throughout the web. That really makes me upset because Ron and his team are SO professional and responsive and give amazing service which is equivalent or better than what we have received in the States for a fraction of the price. Fake news exists and so do fake comments. Its unfortunate that someone has chosen to target these guys but I feel like I wanted to set the record straight in writing with a real review.

We have been to vet playas twice. On the first visit (in 2016) our dog had a bad hot spot which was treated with medication and we had his teeth cleaned (they turned out gorgeous!). This recent visit in Feb 2017 our little guy had a bacterial infection in his colon and he was kept overnight and was treated with antibiotics. The doctor called us at 10pm and Ron also checked in with us to make sure we had received wonderful service.
