Our dog was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia last year and underwent bilateral orthroscopic surgery at Dr. Filer's office. All of the employees at the office were great, very helpful and courteous. The surgery went well and our dog healed quickly and without issue. A year later and he is doing great. We are very thankful to have been referred to Dr. Filer by our general veterinarian.

There are no words to adequately express our appreciation for the care our dog Oliver received from Dr. Filer and the entire staff at the Veterinary Referral Surgical Practice. We brought Oliver in with a degenerative disk problem in his neck that had suddenly left him unable to stand up, let alone walk. Dr. Filer did a myelograph and then surgery, and by the next day when we picked Oliver up he was actually walking. We are now just past two weeks post operation, and he is back to his old self. In fact our biggest problem is trying to get him to take it easy for a few more weeks. Dr. Filer not only performed an incredible feat of surgery, but his compassion and demeanor made what was a trying time for us, so much easier. Not only did Mike and Liz and the rest of the staff spend time with us thoroughly explaining the post op instructions, and encourage us to call with any questions (which we did), but they called us to check up on Oilver's progress. We cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care our dog received and we would encourage anyone whose pet needs surgery to call here first.

My cat was shot on a Sunday night. We brought him to the ER vet who called Dr. Noone because of his extensive knowledge. He and his team performed emergency surgery that same night. Our cat survived the surgery and was kept in Critical Care for a few days afterwards. Dr. Noone was in constant communication with the doctors of the Critical Care Unit. I have to say that my cat got better care than a human would have gotten in such a case - all different vet offices worked together hand in hand to save my cat's life. Dr. Noone is the best and his staff is wonderful! I cannot thank them enough for saving my cat!

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the care and attention given my cherished dog Jock. Dr. Filer is peerless in his professionalism, expertise, experience, skill, AND compassion. Moreover, he went way, way beyond Jock's surgical needs in providing comprehensive diagnostics and treatment. Indeed, Jock and I felt like members of his family. Additionally, his supporting staff is unexampled in their sensitivity and support. Those in human medicine sadly pale in comparison. The bottom-line: no pet could ever benefit from finer care than with the saints at VRSP.

Our 1-yr old dog Jessie had suffered from a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament for months, always seeming a bit lethargic and timid even when she wasn't hopping on her bad leg. Nevertheless, we were worried about putting her through surgery and months of rehabilitation. Dr. Filer and the Vet Referral Surgical staff put us at ease, answered our questions, and -- most importantly -- did a fantastic job with the TPLO surgery. She is now in perfect condition, runs at full speed to her heart's content, and is finally the happy, energetic dog we had hoped she could be. We can't thank you enough for changing her life!
