Dr Stephanie Dong KILLED my fiancé's cat in front her when she asked them not to ! Thanks Dr Dong and Dr Istvan for torturing a dying cat and not even suggesting keeping her alive for a full 24 hours , long enough to see if the antibiotics worked.

I sensed something was wrong with my cat and went to this place because my regular vet was closed. I was told that what I noticed was not a symptom to worry about, they checked her vitals, said she was fine, offered some other non-related expensive procedure "if I really wanted to pursue something," charged me $100, and sent us home. I was not convinced and took my cat to her regular vet the next morning. Turns out, what I suspected was correct. Her condition worsened quickly over the next day while waiting for some blood test results from the regular vet, and ultimately, they were unable to revive her. I wasted an entire 24 hours because of this place, not to mention wasted money, and ended up losing my beloved pet. DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS!!!

Stay away from this place!! They are cold blooded and could care less about you or your pet. Its all about the money! Absolutely the most amature lesbian vets and staff you could get. They seem to dislike men. The male staff and vets are all gay also. I have nothing against gays but their amature work will kill your dog as it did ours. The staff is rude and they are quick to take your 6,000.00 bucks from you. They are great extortionist at this place. They use your grief against you to steal your money. If you check the superior court records there is many many lawsuits against them. We never seen the vet that was suppose to be doing the work on our little loved one. We waited for days and hours in the waiting room and we were told the vet just went on vacation! This is AFTER they got our 6K !!! our little guy died. We are going to sue this place in civil court. This Dr De Berry never talked with us!

This facility is not only careless but the people are rude. When I called to ask a question they put me on hold for almost 30 min and other times I called they would tell me to hold and would hang up on me. I have also heard from others that I know have gone there that they were over charged and no one really seemed to care about the animals. They are in it for the money. I have also had people I know take their pet there and was given the wrong information and their pets came home not acting normal as if they have been mistreated. I have heard from others that employees do not treat the animals good there. I would never bring my pet there. I know other specialty and ER that are much better, caring and affordable. Be aware of this place. CAUTION! This facility is not only careless but the people are rude. My tiny Male dog w/ serious heart condition Revolution stopped working after 6yrs. DR says I had many options but only offers Promeris or Revolution? So I said anything but what got him here, thinking Promeris as an option? Go for it. You can go online to see it doesnt treat it? Without going to Vet School. And he has a penis yet they called him a Female? Never have I had a Dr. let me choose treatment. From a week of thinking my dog was treated I put him in jeopardy and exposed him thinking he was safe. Now he is in bad shape. I got him to the ER quick from improper treatment we are all infected with mites. Run out the door if a Dr. asks you to choose treatment. And treatment is why we go for help I wouldve paid way more for that and shouldnt have to go online and second guess the specialist, they cant boot up and look up a treatment to see if it covers this. & skin scrapings are - after a bath 2 hrs prior or if done on a unharvested patch of skin?

CAUTION! FOR PROFIT VENTURE. Primary focus is on making money. Our cat was "clogged up" and had to have his urinary output cleaned out, and got a catheter for a couple of days. This was non-invasive surgery. No cuts, no stitches, just use a catheter for a day or two until his wee wee was less sore. Our vet said "monitoring only" for a night or two. When we dropped the cat off, we were told the MINIMUM charge was $1200, and we'd need to pay it all right then. We decided to pick him up after 24 hours to keep the charges down. It was $880! To monitor him for 24 hours! It is difficult to have "cost management" conversations, since this vet hospital operates like a car sales office. You talk to the vet for care, you talk to someone else for costs, these two individuals won't talk to you at the same time - either on the phone or in person. Our vet sent down a full bag of IV fluids with the cat for the hospital to use. The hospital took the fluids but later told us they won't use any fluids they don't sell you, so I guess our IV fluides went down the drain. I agree with an earlier post. Managing pet care health expenses doesn't mean you don't love your pet. This place will play on your love of your pet to guilt you into services and extended stays. We plan to provide a written desciption of our experience to our vet, along with a copy of the "quote". This hospital works on referrals, please tell your vet about your experience here.

My sick Lab was cured by steroids, which they reluctantly gave me after I refused $5,000 in tests to determine the 'cause' of her problems. I asked what the treatment was once she was diagnosed - answer: steroids!!! Tip: do not fill your prescriptions there; they are 1/3 the cost at your local pharmacy. Just have them phoned in. Remember before taking your pet: This is a for-profit business. Everything recommended is to maximize their profits. If you understand that going in, you can take precautions for a 'reasonable' financial outcome. (Remember: you are not a bad pet owner for wanting to manage costs. They will play on your fear, and love for your pet: BEWARE!!) And good luck -

With the level of care and compassion that was shown to myself and my beloved Dalmatian, Bud, I find it difficult to believe the negative reviews I've read here.I have nothing but praise for the Doctors & staff at VSH, who in my opinion do everything humanly possible to ensure the best outcome for your loved one. Is it expensive? Yes, but what well equipped hospital isn't? VSH is cutting edge, with all the latest hi-tech equipment along with highly trained specialists that are here for one reason....to give your pet the very best care available. Sadly, my beloved Bud succumbed to complications of cancer, and his passing effected everyone at VSH that knew Bud and worked so hard to save him. For that I am eternally grateful. I would highly recommend to anyone that loves their pet, buy pet health insurance, I did and it paid for itself many times over. I would highly recommend VSH to anyone that truly loves their animals as much as(and sometimes more than) any family member.

We were referred to VSH when our lab was very anemic. After 4 days there and thousands of dollars in tests (yes, thousands but considering she was in the ICU and had an MRI and bone marrow biopsy, it was understandable) she was diagnosed with a rare form of auto-immune disease of her bone marrow. This is rarely seen in dogs and a course of treatment was not known. This is a cutting edge facility and we found a treatment that gave us another 1.5 years with her. Her vet, Dr. DeBerry, and her staff were always amazing and responsive to our needs and questions. They always showed amazing care and compassion for her (and us!) When the time came to put her to sleep, Dr. DeBerry was there to administer the meds and she cried along with us as she passed. We could not have asked for better treatment of our dog. Yes, they are expensive but it was well worth the investment and they never gave up on trying to find something that would work for her. They were honest and helped us to make the most difficult decision to let her go. I hope we never have to use their services again but if we have the need, we would certainly go back there.

I have taken a pet here a couple of times and was impressed by the quality of care and compassion of the staff. Unfortunately, our latest situation was one where the vet sent us home without care of any kind for a young cat that will probably die. The lack of interest in trying to save my pet was cold and calculating. This is a teaching hospital and I had hoped for an innovative approach in trying to treat my beloved little girl. I also have to say that you're a lot better off taking a dog there than a cat. They don't seem to have the same level of interest in cats as they do in dogs.

I brought my puppy in because she was vomiting injested bad milk. She was a teacup chihuahua. Took them 35 min to get us a room no one talk to us until I went and bug them. They made me put a $500.00 deposit and sad that they had to just have deposit only but i wont get charge the $500.00 they said they will give me a estimate first i declined estimate. I ask to see my puppy over 5 times and kept hearing from them give us a few min. By then I had it I told them that I wanted to go to my VET. That's when the really beat around the bush. They said they were geting her prepared to go they said and after another 35-40min they said We need you VET info as if they did not believe me 15min later a lady rush in the room asking me do i want them to do CPR i was shock then the lady said your dog is dying i ran to the back to find my dog 3 times her size not breathing and them preforming CPR. This experience was heartbreaking they did not let me see my dog they did not explain my bill and they did not ask me for any permission or approval. I AM FILLING A COMPLAINT AGAINTS THEM AND GETTING MY ATTORNEY INVOLVE. THINK TWICE BEFORE TRUSTING ANY BIG VET HOSPITAL. I PAID 479.00 AND I BROUGHT HOME MY DEAD PUPPY. SIMILAR CASE email me firstname.lastname@example.org

Very impersonal, overpriced, unknowledgeable and rude clerical staff, run like a business. Don't expect a personal relationship with you & your dog. My dog is seriously ill. I was referred to see an internal medicine vet and got Dr. John Hart. I spent thousands of dollars on tests. There was no conclusion and he wasn't concerned or apologetic for the lack of results. My dog was put on medicine that made her worse and added new problems from the side effects. I tried to get help, but they said Dr. Hart was booked up so I would have to hospitalize my dog in their emergency department(ie, another $1,000+) so that Dr. Hart could "take a quick peak, not a full 15 minute visit". What's the point? Are they that arrogant that I should put my dog through the stress of being in a hospital for several hours so Dr. Hart can "take a quick peak"? Dr. Hart talks like an auctioneer, typing on his computer while you talk & makes you feel rushed to get out. The staff are not knowledgeable about vet tests and technology. When I picked my dog up after hospitalization, the tech didn't know anything about her case & didn't even know what Giardia was. The receptionist looked it up on Wikipedia!

We needed emergency help for our dog who suddendly got sick and we were referred to this Hospital. They provided an estimate then another within 24 hours. The dog died within 2 days and the final bill was more than 2.5 times the estimates.

Our pet was admitted with an original estimate of $1400-2100. That's shocking enough given we have had this procedure done elsewhere for less than $500 but we were in a hurry. By the next morning, the charges had ballooned to $4500 in a little over 24 hours - outrageous! Avoid this place unless you like being overcharged.
