Marriage Counseling, 1/13/2015

Vicki gave my husband and I the tools and understanding we need to heal our marriage. Listening to each of our stories objectively, Vicki was able to tailor a plan for strengthening the marriage... based on our individual personalites and needs. Vicki was very professional and personable. I look forward to recommending her to family and friends!

Awesome Therapist and Supervision Supervisor!, 12/30/2014

Vicki is an awesome therapist with many years of experience and knowledge. I saw Vicki for a year specifically for clinical supervision for licensure. Personally, I have grown professionally and have... gained the needed clinical skills that has helped me grow and work with my patients even better. She has also inspired me to go into private practice in the future. I highly recommend Vicki not only as a supervision supervisor, but also as someone to see for therapy. She truly does care, is empathetic, and will help you accomplish the goals you set for in sessions!

Fixed the Pottying issues...

My five year old son had some problems with "pottying". We couldn't find out what was causing him to be so against "pooping" on the potty. It was becoming very frustrating when I finally decided to try to get him in to see a therapist. Boy was I glad I found Vicki! She was GREAT! She is very serious about her service and knows her "stuff". She worked not only with my son, but with us as parents as well. She developed a structured plan and it worked. One thing I really liked about Vicki, was that she used play therapy with him. He couldn't wait each week to see her...he thought it was a "play date". She also identified for us a problem I would have never been able to...that he was highly sensory and that was part of his issue. This will help us with any other problems that might arise as he grows up. We also saw a change in our son on other issues as well. He called Vicki the "courage lady"...she gave him "courage" to do things he didn't think he could do. I highly recommend her for adults services and for children. She made our lives 100% happier and less stressed.

Very effective working with kids and tweens

Vicki has helped facilitate a transition in my 11-year old daughter that is almost unbelievable. Vicki is kind and loving, concerned and constructive, but without being sappy. She holds us all accountable. My daughter is working through some difficult issues and Vicki seems to understand her behavior in ways I just don't. Her advice to my husband and me has been forthright and constructive. My daughter is a kinder, more sensitive child since seeing Vicki. Best of all, Vicki has equipped her with skills to begin working out these issues --anger, frustration, insecurity -- on her own. What a great gift. I highly recommend Vicki as a therapist and counselor!

Professional Supervisor

My job required that I have an outside supervisor to demonstrate that I was in the process of pursuing my license as a social worker and I found Vicki. Immediately I knew we were a great fit and that I could learn what I needed to help me in my current position and my quest to become licensed. Vicki is caring, considerate and sensitive to the needs of anyone she’s working with and is definitely a people person. One of the things I enjoyed about her was her desire to focus on the client’s strengths rather than their weaknesses. She is creative, rather it be with clients or supervisees. My experince with Vicki was helpful, educational and professional. She is well knowledgeable in working with individual, children and family problems and behavior change techniques. I highly recommended Vicki for supervision and children, adult and family therapy.

Successful

Vicki is a very likable lady that has a no nonsense approach but it is also controlled environment but friendly and open communication. You get the feeling that she is talking with you instead of at you. She is very good at targeting the short comings and working with you to help resolve the problems. Over a short period of time she was a very successful psychologist and I feel a friend that I feel comfortable with.
