Bad experience at Victoria's garden
I do not recommend Victoria's Garden in Lakeside. First of all it was overpriced, a $20.00 wrist band gets you unlimited rides, ( the few they have), or you can pay $15.00 to go on each thing once. Oh and by the way a parent can not accompany a child unless you buy your own package, like it is safe to let a young child ride by themselves, on hay, on a flat bed trailer being pulled behind a tractor. A parent can't even accompany a child into the animal petting area. I mean come on, this small family outting to a so called pumkin patch cost a fortune. You could get annual Zoo passes and go as much as you want for less. The other thing that really dissappointed me is the employees attitude. One in peticular was extremely rude like she was doing me a favor by letting me be there. What happened was I gave her two tickets for my children to enter the petting area, me and my children walked in, while my husband went to buy food for the animals. When he got back he told the attendent that he was with us. She said ""so"", very rudely. He was a little confused as to what was going on. Not knowing, at this time, that parents had to purchase tickets too, because when we walked up to purchase tickets we ran into some friends who told us the best thing to do is purchase the wrist band for the kids. We were the only the people at the ticket booth as I asked if we could accompany my youngest and she said yes. I told this to the petting zoo lady and she argued with me and my husband, so I asked to speak to someone in charge, she immediately ran to her telling her own version of the story. At this point we just wanted to leave a huge scene was made and it was very embarrassing. I can't believe that this is the way the owner would let her employees treat her customers. I don't want to go there again and will tell everyone I know of my experience. I will be heading to Bates Nut Farm from now on, where they value their customers.
