I tried this on recommendation from Serious Eats, a well-known food blog. I'm not sure why they thought it was so good. The burger was average overall, but the meat itself was overcooked (medium-well, too much for me), dry, and pretty flavorless. I had the fries with their seasoning sprinkled on, and the seasoning was good, but underneath the potatoes tasted very brown, as if they'd been left in the fryer too long. I like crispy fries, but these were bordering on burnt. And yet, they were lukewarm when they got to my table (which didn't take long, so how did they cool off so fast?).

I like to patronize local businesses and it's a pleasure to do so at Village Burger. They offer hand-shaped hamburgers (don't know how anyone could mistake them for frozen patties) cooked to order, along with chicken sandwiches and hot dogs. They just added a turkey burger. Their fries are crispy and delicious, you can have their special seasoning added. Frozen custard is hard to come by in this area but VB has it in spades. I stop by when I'm in the area and always enjoy eating there, the staff are friendly and hard at work. Well worth a visit!

Not what you would expect for a restaurant with Burger in its name. It wasn't clear whether there was table service or not (there isn't, go in and order and they bring it to you). Cheese wasn't melted and burger came across as a previously frozen patty. They do serve wine and beer.
