Easy Breezy
This is a wonderful courteous office staff (Dr. Banks) with very little waiting time - which is hard to find these days!

Great!
I went to Village Podiatry in Hiram a few days ago for an ingrown toenail that I had. After a few minutes of waiting, I went to one of their rooms, where they quickly diagnosed my problem and treated it. The doctor and staff were great. I will definitely go back there for any of my foot problems.

Good Doctor- Bad Business-
I too have had problems with Village Podiatry Group in the greater Atlanta area.

After seeing Dr. Mark Snyder for an ingrown toenail he recommended orthotic inserts for my shoes. I was given a paper to sign that said the maximum to be paid for the orthotic inserts would be $400.00. A person at the office called my insurance prior to the fitting and I was told that the orthotics would be covered by my insurance.

I paid $240 out of pocket for the orthotics. The insurance was billed $950 for the orthotics and paid $212. That is $452 paid for the devices. (Note that custom orthotics are available for $150 a pair over the Internet)

An entire year transpires and I hear nothing from Village Podiatry. Over a year after taking delivery of the orthotics Village Podiatry Group sends me bills for a “remaining balance of $200. I called several times over a period of months and even went to the office with a pile of papers twice to straighten this out. In the end Faith, the supervisor in billing, told me, I owed them the money, she could/would not explain how I owned it after being paid, some blabber about codes, then she said she did not like the tone of my voice, was turning me into collections and hung up. How is that for customer service?

If you have a choice and are not fundamentally masochistic you would be better off to go somewhere else.

Not impressed
I was not really knocked over by the service I received there. The doctor might be a smart man but bedside manner he hasn't. The visit was rushed, when I asked questions he seemed frustrated, and when I questioned the need for surgery "within a week" for hammer toe he was put off by the question. His staff was good but I'm not sure I would let him cut my toe? I'll prob look for another doctor first.

Not a happy camper
This is for the office in Hiram, Ga.

This is really not like me to complain. But so many things went bad on my last visit I just had to tell someone. First, the office waiting room was full. I got there 15 mins before my appointment. I waited for an hour and 15 mins before they called me. They didn't say a word about being sorry for my wait. My visit went good. Then coming out , and this was my follow up visit from three weeks earlier, they asked for another $20 copay. I told her this was a follow up, she said, I knowthat's $20. I told her I have Tri care for my Secondary ins. and I shouldn't have to pay a co pay at all much less another one for a follow up. She just sat there and said, it will be $20 today. The visit with Dr. Laur went well enough, it was the staff , and it was most of them, that acted like I was in their world and things would go their way. I won't go back, and now, neither will my son, and two other families I have talked to. One family said the same thing I did. They do not like the unfriendly staff....
