Saved me on a frozen night, 2/20/2014

Recently, the Atlanta metro area was crippled by a snowstorm that no one prepared for. Many commuters were stuck in traffic for numerous hours. I happen to have been one of those unfortunate people.... After slowing inching forward for over five hours on Barrett Parkway, I noticed that Vincent's was still open (many other businesses were shut down, or closing). I pulled my car into the lot and went inside. I was greeted by a super friendly staff that welcomed me with open arms. They refused to turn anyone away and supplied us all with warm food, good drink, and extremely positive attitudes. I had the Chicken Parmasian that night and sweet tea. The entire experience re-energized me to get back out on the road and try to make it home. Had Vincent's not of been open, I could easily have seen me burst into a "Hulk-style Road-Rage" and go berserk on people. Thankfully, the staff was so welcoming, I truly felt like home, and mom was back in the kitchen. I'll definitely stop here again.

Used to work there

These are the most rude and uncaring employers I have ever witnessed. Their turnover rate it ridiculous (apparently they had gone through 10 servers in the 2 weeks prior to my hire) I was in a transition from my previous job and found them on craigslist. Word of warning to servers around that area STAY AWAY!!

Forget Them

Was a loyal repeat customer going there once a month with the wife and spending 40-60-70 bucks depending on whether we got drinks or not. We both enjoyed the food and desserts. Been going there 3-4 years.Pauli the owners kid was very rude to us last week, I say hey, if you're overworked don't take it out on the customers. Take a chill pill and go outside and kick a tree. Basically repeat loyal customers are treated like a commodity while the attention is all focused on the new customers to get them back in the door. Why? Since the waitstaff is completely disposable, they need Pauli and the older gent manager to schmooze and the solve every minor problem under the sun. Waitstaff changes about every two weeks due to extremely high attrition rate. Heard from various employees over the years the family is very hard to work for. The amusement of watching the inexperienced waitstaff run into each other like chickens with their heads cut off while trying desparately to keep their jobs for more than two weeks wore off. Won't ever go back there after rude treatment by the owners son and I do mean EVER. I 1000 percent agree with the other reviewers saying about the rude treatment. The food is basically good. The chef does come out with nice specials. They do try to nickle and dime you. The sauce is decent except for the Pesto which is mediocre. All a moot point. I'm done with them. Will go to the local Ippolitos in our local Alpharetta area and save on gas.

Best Ever

I love Vincent's I feel like family every time I go in. To the person below I laughed at your review because the owners of Vincent's are the former owner of Frankie's itís virtually the same menu and same price structure. As far as the coupon there is a "small" print and it does state up to $10 value. Anyway, my intention was not rant but like I said they make me feel like family. Try one of Paul's specials you can never go wrong there, they are always amazing!

Mediocre, stereotypical cocky restaurant manager

Our last visit was annoying. The music was just too loud. Not a good atmosphere at all. Felt like I was at a strip club that was playing Frank Sinatra. It was that loud. I'm not one to complain, but I decided I'd say something nicely when the manager made his rounds to the tables. Now, there's two types of managers that make their rounds. There's the type of manager that agrees with the customer and tries to make it right and there's the manager that argues with the customer and doesn't. Vincent's had the later. But it was really loud and anyone with any kind of common sense would have turned the music down. When you go out to eat, you want to relax and have a nice conversation, but the only one you could really here was Frank Sinatra. The waiters were talking loudly to the customers, almost yelling, because the music was so loud. It was hilarious. We go to Vincent's from time to time. It's pretty mediocre, especially for the price. But I mean, it's not bad, just mediocre. It'd be a better value if it were 20% cheaper. Chicken parm is $13.95. Lasagna is $11.95. Seafood pasta is $16.95. That's pricey and slightly more compared to other similar eateries - Provino's, Ippolito's, Frankie's, The Italian Oven, etc. If you have a coupon, it's worth it, sort of. Be warned though, the buy one get one free coupons aren't exactly truthful, and there's no fine print indicating this either. It's only a $10 credit, not a free meal.

Dissatisfied

Looked forward to trying since they opened. Was very disappointed with the visit. Visited on a Thursday evening, maybe weekends are better. Waited 3-4 minutes to be greeted, no concern shown once greeted. Saw server for food order and check drop, no follow up after food was dropped. Music was 1950's American "Grease" and too loud. Temperature was chilly. Booths, table clothes cheap quality. Price was too high for experience offered. Won't return, Macaroni Grill down the street!

Great Experience at Vincents

I recently had a great experience at Vincents. I had never been there before, but I liked the casual atmosphere and value pricing (both similar to Ippolitos). The garlic rolls were addictive, the salad was great (and not just a generic lettuce and tomato mix) and the meals were both tasty and generously portioned. I had one of the specials and there was enough to bring home for leftovers, which re-heated well. The service was excellent - our server was attentive, friendly and humorous and the hostess and manager stopped to check on us as well. I didn't see any evidence of the bad service indicated in other reviews...in fact, there were regulars there, which indicates consistently good service and quality. I will definately go back again!

Good Italian food

Have been to Vincents often and on occasion had a short wait for the food, but with rolls (wine/appetizer) and good company the food is worth the wait. Nice lemony Chicken Piccata with a good amount of sauce. Love it. We have tried other Italian restaurants but always come back.

Very slow service, automatic gratuity

This was our third or fourth visit to Vincent's. I love their garlic rolls, but seems their food is getting boring and the service was very, very slow for a Saturday night. Waitress seemed nice enough, but probably not enough help...especially in the kitchen. Could slow service and auto. 20% gratuity added to a party of 3 have anything in common? Doubt we will return.

Good Bet

My wife and I have passed this place many times and said we should stop in. This evening we did. We found the food to be quite good, and the service was very good as well. It's definitely worth a try.

Poor Experience

I live within 3 miles of this restaurant. Tonight was my first experience living here for 4 years. The owner's wife was rude. I will not return due to unprofessional customer service. The business acquaintance who invited me there was embarrassed by the way we were treated.

Good and not too pricey

What more can you ask for. I was very pleased with my service. I felt that the prices were fine. The food was good. My group was well taken care off. I will come back. Good and cheap.

What was I thinking?

We live very close to this restaurant and decided to finally try it. Got there before the crowd, around 5:30, not many patrons. Took over five minutes after being seated to be acknowledged by a server. Server finally returned, never made mention of the specials, which I would have been interested in, don't know what kind of salad dressing I would have gotten if I would not have asked what the choices were. Our Ragu at home is MUCH better. They automatically added a 15% tip to our party of two, which I thought was odd. I have family members who are servers, so I usually tip at the very minimum 20% when service is good. I was about to add just a 15% tip for poor service and food quality when my wife noticed the automatic tip entry. Look carefully at your bill here. There are so many restaurants to eat at in Cobb, I would not waste your time eating at this place for sub-par Italian food. Have to admit, the bread rolls were good. The salad dressing tasted exactly like Wishbone. We eat out every Saturday night and will not return here. Seemed like the employees really did not care. Too bad.
