The staff at Dental Professionals of Vinings are very friendly and work with you to schedule appointments that are convenient especially for working families with children. I love being able to take my child to the dentist and go myself without missing time from work or having to take my child out of school early. The dentists are thorough, friendly and provide excellent care. The customer service and the qulaity of dental care at this place is "the best". DWB

I've been seeing Dr Larsen for 6 years and have nothing negative to say - great with my kids as well.

Beware Being Overcharged. While my experience with the actual dentist and hygenist was good, the ladies at reception who handle billing are extremely rude and attempted to overcharge me and refused to call my insurance while I was there to verify what my costs should be. I called again about billing and was treated very rudely by Dolores. After talking extensively with my insurance, I was overcharged by over $300. If you go here, which I advise against, be very careful to check with your insurance about what you are responsible for paying and make sure everything is correct up front. Overall, the whole experience was a nightmare.

The Dentist I see here is nice and appears to be conservative with his treatments and recommendations. I think he's a good doctor.

My only real complaint with this place is the quality of some of the staff. After the hygienist was through with me, I felt like I had been punched in the mouth. I had cuts on the sides of my gums that turned into mouth ulcers that were sore for days. To top it off, the ENTIRE cleaning took about 5 minutes. I remember when cleanings used to last 3 times as long because the hygienist would take their time being GENTLE. Maybe my teeth were just really clean I don't know. But it was rough. I thought she was mad at my teeth. The way she was furiously working so quickly, scraping through my gums with enough pressure that I thought the outer layers of my teeth were coming off , all I could think of was "where's the fire?" When she was finally through, I thought it was over. Then came the floss. As someone who regularly goes to the dentist, I know what they usually floss like. It's not like this. This was like "revenge flossing." She took the floss, and jabbed down so hard and used one furious stroke per gap (which by the way is NOT proper technique). She pushed down hard and fast enough to where I would involuntary flinch. And I couldn't floss properly that night because my gums were still healing from the earlier abuse.

I am one of those people that has always went every 6mos for cleanings and kept my teeth very healthy.My firt visit there for a cleaning i was told i needed a deep cleaning and that they would not do a normal cleaning on me.I also was told i needed a replacement crown even though the one i had was only a yr old so i left and had a 2nd opinion only to find out I did not need a deep cleaning nor a another crown. And I didn't like Dr.Larsens sarcasm either.He said my opinion is the only one that matters!
