Virginia -Highland Primary Care

I went to Dr. Wadsworth's office because I was new to Atlanta and it is very close to my home. I made an afternoon appointment for an annual exam, and had to fast all day because of blood work. I was about to leave work to go to the appointment, and I received a call from the nurse that it had to be rescheduled because of a family emergency (unfortunately I had fasted for nothing). When I finally went in, the nurse was very kind and helpful. As soon as I met Dr. Wadsworth, I found her to be brusque, rude, and very rough in her gyn exam. I thought that maybe she was in a hurry since she had to make up missed appointments due to the family emergency. When she asked me about medications I had been taking, she was extremely judgmental about my SSRI for depression, and promptly gave me a letter explaining her views on prescribing depression medication she doesn't. When I asked her if she could recommend a psychiatrist, she off-handedly said she had some friends that she could recommend, but that they did not accept insurance. At this point, I felt judged, I was sore from my exam, and I felt emotionally vulnerable. I paid my copay and rushed out of the office in tears. I could not believe her harshness and lack of understanding! I would never recommend her to anyone. I can't believe that others have had similar experiences because I was sure that it was just me....

When I first went to Dr. Wadsworth I was surprised by her extremely brusque bedside manner. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was having a bad day, but on the two occasions I have seen her since then she has been just as rude and uncaring as she could be. Not only is she not very nice, but she is really lacking in thorough patient care, rushing me out the door after making me wait for an hour. I would definitely look elsewhere for a doctor - I know I will be!

I went to see "Dr." Wadsworth today. It was the worst doctor experience of my life. She was dressed inappropriately, made me wait an hour and a half and didn't even ask me about the reason I came in. She did not treat me for my medical problems in any way. I have called my insurance company to demand they do not pay her.

I also went because of her close proximity to my home but agree with the other posters--she is an embarrassment to my neighborhood. She should not be practicing medicine. She is doing entirely more harm than good.

She treated me with disrespect, irritation and no interest in who I am or what medical needs I have.

I disagree with the other listings. I've been seeing Dr. Wadsworth for about 8 years. I've found her to be the best PCP I have had. Unlike other doctors, I have not felt like I was being given happy pills and forced out the door. I also feel that she's willing to listen to my input in my healthcare needs, instead of giving me a "I'm the doctor so I know what's best for you" approach.

I chose Wadsworth entirely because of her location. I went in for a physical as my first visit. I am 37 and had not had one in 7 years. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not only did I have to wait for two hours, but she inflicted so much pain on me when she checked for testicular cancer that I was sore for two days afterwards. I found out later that she only wants female patients. I guess this was her way of letting me know
