Vis a Vis is a terrible salon. The staff is arrogant and rude. The place is a total dump and I will never go there again. Atlanta, find a real hair salon where they don't butcher your hair. There is something weird with the staff too.

There is really no match in Buckhead to Vis a Vis the Salon, owned by Jeffrey McQ. The "big box" salons do not come close in the eyes of those who come to Vis a Vis. He has created a virtual temple of beauty in the heart of Buckhead. The departure of the wildly popular CHAZ ANDERSON in 8/08, who left to temporarily work alone at SOLO until the opening of his own salon in Nov. of 08 is a mighty blow to the salon and to his devoted clients. Jeffrey is the one to see and will be very selective in filling the void left by Chaz as Jeffrey has a reputation for ensuring that his clients are thrilled with his services and are walking advertisements for this exclusive and five star rated salon. Highly recommended.

Lauren has been coloring my hair for a few years now. I first went to Vis-A-Vis based on their review in Allure magazine. I have problem that Lauren calls "hot roots" - my roots are gray, my natural hair color is auburn and it seems that most colorist turn my roots a bright red, pink or orange. My hair color and roots are PERFECT every time with Lauren. Even though she no longer works on Saturdays and I live & work on the south side of Atlanta, I am still going to Lauren because I know my hair will look amazing every time. I've had both Beth and Christine cut my hair and both are excellent stylists. I have only received excellent customer service from everyone at Vis-a-Vis the Salon.

I have to say, I was dissapointed with the results of my color. I had researched a variety of salons before coming here. I had high expectations. The staff was lovely and it's a nice salon. I was dissapointed in the color of my hair (which was just simple highlights). I was also a bit surprised that the cost of their best colorist was more than the well know colorist I used to go to in Beverly Hills. I don't mean that to sound snobish. I was just surprised, that's all. I'm more than happy to pay for great color but I got less than stellar results. I know everyone's experience is different and I hope if you choose to go there you have better results than I did. I really did like the salon overall.

I have been going to Vis-A-Vis for about 4 years now. It is upscale, yet you feel comfortable there. It is pricey...but you do get what you pay for which is excellent color and haircut. My only complaint is that the reception staff has been a bit inconsistant over the years in that some were very professional, but others didn't seem to want to be there. However, the colorist and stylist have been wonderful. They take pride in their work and listen to you plus are very pleasant.

Amber has been doing my color for over 5 years now, and she is incredible. She has saved my hair from falling out or breaking off, and I highly recommend her!! Vis a vis is a beautiful salon, and Amber is the girl to go to.

I've gone to vis-a-vis for about a year. They're competent enough, but overpriced and take snobbiness to a whole new level. The last straw was when twice the color wasn't left on long enough (because they're much too busy with all their other clients). The staff and even the colorists have been borderline-rude to me and I've seen them be rude to other clients on several occasions, and for the prices they charge, no one should have to tolerate that. There are plenty of other salons in Atlanta where you can get much better service for a much better price. I suggest exploring other options.

I have been going to Vis-A-Vis for over 2 years. It is the best salon! Everyone is very experienced and pleasant to work with. The service is supurb and they always make you feel comfortable and taken care of. When I can't get into my regular stylist I have seen some of the other stylist and they have all done a great job.

Upscale but unpretentious. This salon is beautiful, warm and inviting. The atmosphere is a refreshing change from it's competitors. My hair looks the best it has ever looked. The stylists and colorists truly listen to their clients and care about making them happy. I have been to all of Atlanta's top salons and none compare to Vis A Vis. A+

The atmosphere is easy yet very classy. Service is excellent and I have yet to experience it anywhere else. They call you by name when you walk in the door. I love what Todd did to my hair. I still have people talking about it. :)
