I would not recommend this company to anyone. A nightmare to deal with this owner. Used the cheapest prep and labor possible. Does not sand, prep or strip prior to performing work as another... review clearly mentions below. As you can see from his previous responses to negative reviews, he has a very nasty and defensive tone to each reply and never once apologizes to the customer. Very immature and childlike to deal with. Terrible business person. As you can see, all of the positive reviews are within similar time frames and most likely written by the same person to help increase ratings on Kudzu.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have used this company twice for work at my home to include; painting, wallpaper removal, and siding replacement. I have also used them to do work at my brothers home to do painting and wood rot... repair. They do excellent work and are timely, very courteous and employ clean cut workers. The offer a fair price for the work being completed. Their office person (Connie) is a real gem to work with in scheduling the work and on administrative issues. Robert is their person that does estimates and checks the jobs and he is also a pleasure to work with. I have been using this company for over four years and their main people have been there the whole time. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone needing painting, siding replacement and wood repair.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We were really diappointed with the quality, or lack there of, from Vision. We hired them to repaint all of our exterior window frames. At first blush it looked like they did a great job but within 6-9 months we had a lot of our windows peeling and some down to the wood, a few even starting to rot! We called and they came out to repaint a few windows since we were within the 1 year warranty, however, they decided to now inform us that they did NOT strip the windows before painting them, they only painted over what was already there!! No wonder we have so many issues. They also painted two of our windows shut and did a very poor job at repairing them after I notified them that the seals were broken as a result of their bad work. We are now 15 months or so past when we had the windows painted and we have to have them all stripped and repainted, AGAIN. We wasted our time and money with Vision. We've been chasing them to come out and paint our windows properly but have yet to hear back on a time and date when they will come and get the job done right. We've given up, hence the review on Kudzu. They had their chance, or chances I should say, to get it right.

WOW, I am actually shocked by this review. We provided a quote on 3/29/12 on inter/exter painting and revised the quote on 4/6 to add some wood repairs. The job was started and completed prior to 4/15/12. The exterior scope included windows, doors, and frames and some repairs. We always list the specific areas to repair and we performed all of those with rot resistant materials. The customer stated above that we did not strip the windows before painting them....In 30 years in the painting business, we have never stripped windows to bare wood...you only remove the loose and peeling paint which was cleary stated in our proposal to him. It was never stated or implied that we would strip all of the paint to bare wood. It would be cheaper to replace the windows. All of the work on the windows was done correctly and professionaly. This customer also failed to state that we notified him of a window issue and took care of it for him at not cost as a courtesy. We also returned a few months after the job was complete to repair an issue he called about which was not paint related but was from the original construction. A board placed by the builder in front of the sill covering a gap between the stucco accents and sill was coming loose because it was never attached. We replaced it with a composite material at not cost to the homeowner and even went one step further and check another front window with similar design and noticed the same issue so we replaced that also. THis customer is stating 'seals' but means the window sills. In April of 2013, the 10th to be exact, this customer sent me a picture of a window that had some peeling. I spoke to him on the 10th, the same day he sent me the information, and told him that we would take care of it even though it was not our paint peeling. The peeling was down to bare wood and the original primer from the standard builder window was peeling...this is something that no painter can control and can happen at any time after a job is done. We actually have that stated as an exclusion in our 2 year warranty (customer stated we have a 1 year warranty but it is actually 2) because it is beyond our control but because we value our customers, we always take care of small issues like that. On the 19th of April, this customer responded to my email on the 10th and told me thank you for taking care of it and to double check other windows. I told him we would and to be paitent due to the rain and our current back log of work. There has not been one time this customer has called or emailed me with out a response. I am really disappointed that he would write such a review when we went out of our way to take care of this customer and do things well above our original contract. I take great offense to his comments as we have not stayed in business this long by ignoring customer issues. It is a shame when people can write what ever they want with no regard for the truth and facts.
I had the interior of my house painted. The crew arrived on time each day, they were courteous and efficient in painting my home. Had a small problem which Connie reacted to immediately and it was settled. This company has a customer service that you don't see anymore. I highly recommend this company if you want the highest quality and service.

I am a repeat customer. This was an exterior residential repaint job. The job was completed timely. Connie in the office is a pleasure to deal with. The owner, Michael Gatto, takes a personal interest in his company's performance. He goes over and above to ensure professional results.

I hired Vision Painting to paint inside of a rental condo I have. It is a loft type floor plan with some high ceilings and difficult for a non-professional to get to. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the short amount of time it took to complete. Not only was the painting job done flawlessly, but they did an excellent job of repairing several large wall holes (1/2") from old shelving as well as stress cracks and visible cracking from previous poor quality drywall. Additionally I found the price very reasonable. There is very good chance I will use Vision Painting again in the future.

Had several estimates done but Vision was the most economical yet provided the most info. on the job specifics. Estimator was very knowledgeable; Painters were thorough, professional and conscientious. Enjoyed the Kudzu.com credit as well. I would recommend Vision and/or use them again. Thank you

We had an estimate done from Vision to paint at our house. After we got the estimate, we called to confirm a time for them to come out. After they didn't show up the first time, we called again and they set up another time. We asked them some basic questions, like: do you use a brush or spray (we were concerned about overspray onto other units, cars, etc). We also requested to be present while they were here so we could open the windows and garage doors so they wouldn't be painted shut. After they didn't show up the second time, we were finally told that Connie (in the office) "didn't like my attitude" because I "asked too many questions" and this is the reason they didn't show up. Apparently showing concern and interest for work being done at our house didn't go over well with them. As a friend of the estimator, we didn't receive any "deal" or special consideration. In fact, we received no consideration at all (not even after the fact). If we weren't a good fit, professionalism would have required them to tell us that honestly, rather than now making excuses in response to this post. Who does business like this? We would recommend you NOT use Vision Painting, as they are very unprofessional. We regret these circumstances, but this is an accurate description of the events and will stand by our account.

This is an unfortunate situation! The individual writing the complaint happens to be a friend of one of my estimators and is apparently trying to lash back at him and Vision Painting due to the fact that WE, as a company, chose NOT to work for him after receiving a phone call from him selecting us to perform the work. Immediately after the call my office called me to let me know the nature of the call. After a lengthy discussion with my office staff and estimator (the friend of the person in question), we decided that it would benefit all parties involved if we did not perform the work for this individual.
After 15 years of being in business we know when we are not a right fit for someone and rather than begin the work, we sometimes, and unfortunately, have to choose not to work for some people. As a contractor, we often have to make the same decisions you do as a homeowner when selecting to work for someone or having someone work on your home. You have to choose someone you know you can work with and that you trust. It works both ways!
He states in his complaint against us that we were supposed to show up to actually start the work when in fact we never actually accepted him as a customer or even set a start date. He also states that we said he “asks too many questions”, well, we welcome questions, as it makes our customers more informed and educated as to the way we do things. Just look at our website and/or any of our proposals or customer packages and you will see that our whole philosophy is to help educate our customers so that they can make informed decisions.
Connie, my administrator, is the best in the business and anyone who has had contact with her over the last 13 years will tell you how helpful, informative, knowledgeable, and courteous she is. I would put her up against anyone, anywhere in the Country.
Again, this is an unfortunate situation. I think the complaint itself clearly indicates why we made our decision not to work for this individual. We do not like making these difficult decisions but we feel it is best to stop a potential bad situation before it happens and in this case we are 100% sure of our decision.
Vision Painting has survived and prospered over the past 15 years (even over the past 2 years with the poor economy) for one reason, we truly care about the work we perform on each and every one of our customer’s homes.
I just recently had exterior painting done by Vision and was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. Everyone I dealt with (Connie in the office, Robert Sawyer, and everyone on the paint crew) was professional and extremely nice. The paint job looks great! It was done promptly, and they cleaned up after themselves! I will definitely use them again!

I have used Vision Painting for several years for pressure washing my home, exterior and interior painting and have always been extremly pleased with their work. I can always count on them to give me a fair quote as well as count on them to deliver quality service for a fair price. I have recommended them to neighbors and a family member who have also used their services and had nothing but praise for their excellent service and superior work. I can not imagine using any other company when I need my home painted or pressure washed and I certainly do not intend to use another company. My motto is "It's not broken, why fix it" and my relationship with Vision Painting certainly is not broken. Great company, honest employees and superior work.
