W...must stand for WHATEVER., Yuck., 2/14/2011

Grossly disappointed in the W, unlike any other W I've stayed at. Cramped quarters. Dated and dirty laminated furniture (with damaged corners, worn paint and stains). No in-room coffee or... anything offered in the lobby (except a $5 cup @ the restaurant where you had to wait to be seated/attended). No pool/spa/fitness area (that I could find). Two towels with one washcloth, weird. Small flat-screen and half the channels are W-related. Less than cheerful staff. Housekeeping came knocking early the next morning as if we were being kicked out (my bad for not putting out the Do Not Disturb sign). OMG Moment: We stay @ the W as part of a Girls Night Out. Upon check-in they asked my friend for her name (just in case she got locked out), no problem. The next morning we found our billS slipped under the door-- one for her AND one for me. They found her name in the computer (under her husband's SPG acct), added her full name AND home address (which we did not provide to them) then BILLED her for parking! She didn't even drive a car there. When she called, they reluctantly removed the charge stating that it was a customary charge. BTW, they also charged me the $12 self-park fee too. Starwood need sot dump this property.

It's No Place Like Home, 11/01/2007

When something has a distinct style, it will attract some and repel others. The lobby is ultra modern, like a 70s projection of a science fiction future. Furnishings are contemporary and spare. ... Few complimentary amenities, and a very costly experience.

Good Hotel

If you are in the perimeter area this is a great option for a hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many times and it's always been a good experience. The hotel has been updating a few different things because it is aging a little, but the staff is still great, and the service is always good.
