I finally got around to visiting Wahoo Grill today for lunch. We were seated in the pretty, airy back area which I found very pleasant. The menu seemed a little ordinary to warrant the upscale... prices, but the burger I ordered, which came with a smattering of overcooked fries, was very good. The service, however, was not good at all. Most of the wait staff appeared to be more interested in chatting with each other than attending to the diners. When we finally told one of them we were ready to order, she said she would go get our server. When our server arrived, she made it a point to mention that we had apparently confused the other server with her. I don't generally go to a restaurant to be embarrassed by the staff, but whatever. The general inattentiveness continued for the rest of the meal. I would expect any somewhat upscale restaurant to train their wait staff much better than this. Considering the hype, I expected more.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Pam the owner accommodated about 30 of us from The Atlanta Running Meetup a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday morning for brunch. I made reservations with her about a week before, and we couldn't... have asked for better service. The food was fantastic, and the staff were professional and courteous. At one point Pam came over to our tables and asked if the temperature in the room was comfortable for us. Pam takes a great deal of pride in what she does, and it certainly shows. I highly recommend it.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

The BF took me to wahoo! for my birthday. The service was outstanding, but the food was nothing especially remarkable. I had the salmon, which was deliciously prepared and hot. The BF had the ravioli, he said it was good-but he got less than a can of Chef Boyardee and the prce was around 15 and he was still hungry after cleaning the plate! Dessert was good, as well. Wahoo! is nice, but I don't see what the all the fuss is about.
A bit pricey for lunch, but delicious food. Nice outdoor area in good weather. Good service too.
My wife and I are regulars...we love the patio..food very nice, well prepared, tasty and great presentation...Super wine list with fair prices. REALLY REALLY nice servers...Pam the owner works hard and it shows! Great on chilly winter evenings, hot summer, warm fall and spring eves too......
I've been to Wahoo every month for the past 3 months and every visit has swept me off my feet - truly awesome in every single way. The service is unbeatable, the Patio is charming, and the food is just incredible. Try the coconut cake! Parking is tight on Fri/Sat nights but just park on the grass across the street.
We have been there at least 5 times in the last 6 months. The fisherman's tew is superb! The staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating. Our 18 month old loves it.
The Bruch buffet is soo good! The shrimp and grits is awesome. The french toast triangles is also good. I really could just go on and on.
This place has it all.....tasty food, place to people watch, excellent customer service and a warm and cozy environment. We keep coming back and encourage our friends to taste one of the best meals in Decatur.
Brunch was good, dinner entrees were not so hot. Were a bit bland. Great atmosphere though, especially out in the garden. Arrive early on weekends- this place gets packed!
It's a nice neighborhood restaurant, but the wahoo didn't bowl me over. Hubby said the same thing about his shrimp & grits. We may try again.
What a great place for seafood, steak, pasta, cocktails or wine - this is the right place with the right stuff. An intimate setting with a wonderfully cozy bar and the outdoor patio seating is to die for in the wwarmer climes of Atlanta. Moderate to expensive, Wahoo is a great choice for dining.
Even though Wahoo is a small place, it is nearly always crowded - evidence of the food and prices offered. We throughly enjoyed our meal.
A great dining experience. Dinner menu is packed with delicious options. Unique flavors and fun combinations abound. Staff is attentive but not overbearing. Brunch is also good. Although the service was horrible. I'm hoping this was an exception. I plan to give it another try.
Have been here a number of times and the quality of the food and staff are always excellent. Hard to say the best thing on the menu as everything I've tried is always the freshest quality and delicious. Love the outdoor patio, great for a romantic dinner or a sunny day. Highly recommended.
Great place on the outskirts of decatur to enjoy a meal with or to meet that special someone. The food here is of the highest quality and the atmosphere is very lively, especially on a friday night. The restaurant quality is worthy of the Wahoo name.
