Wal-Mart Vision Center

A service Tech whose name I will not mention took advantage of my son and stripped the drain plug when changing the oil in his pickup and then stated that he did not want to be held liable and lied to his supervisor and then would not fix the issue correctly. I have talked to the store manager and sent a letter to Mike Duke, CEO of Wal-Mart. Now the dept wants to charge my son for a new oil pan $124.95 + labor on top of the cost of a temp. fix. It is deplorable that a grown man, a mechanic of Wal-Mart, would not stand up and own up to his mistake, but yet, take advantage of a 19 year old teenager. Most parents may let this go, but I am a firm believer that if you make a mistake at your job, you own up to your responsibilities and man up. Otherwise, this is a violation of Wal-Mart Ethics, violation of Wal-Mart Management, and a distrust to the loyalty of your customers.

I agree that the staff is really slow, but Dr. Yu is worth the wait and the trouble! Best exam I've ever had! And I have been to specialists before who didn't give me as good of an eye exam as he has. We've been to him for the last 3yrs and won't see anyone else.

While visiting family in Woodstock, I went to the vision center at Walmart to get my eye exam. Although there was no other customers, I still had to wait almost an hour. The staff just didn't seem to know what they were doing. I will not return to this Walmart Vision Center.

The Vision Center Optomitrist and the assistants were very knowledgeable and kind. Value=Excellent!!

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance, but the person I scheduled with never marked it down. So, I had to wait about an hour to see the doctor, and was treated as a walk-in status. The wait would have been longer, but when the doctor saw me in the waiting room for so long, she asked, "Are you a walk-in?" When I told her about the error, she then took me right away, but had to race through the exam. Not only had the scheduler not bothered to schedule me, she also didn't bother to let the doctor know about the mixup. The doctor incidentally (Dr. Brandenberg) was very good. But after such a long wait, and nothing other than "sorry about the confusion" I won't be going back there. You would think after making a patient with a scheduled appointment wait more than an hour they might do something to compensate, but to just shove you in the back of the line is pretty poor customer service. I won't be going back. Why give them business when they treat you like that?
