Been using Waste Management for residential trash service for the past 4 years. I contacted them online to remove some yard waste (bundled limbs and bagged materials). I was given a confirmation number and date as to when the materials would be picked up. On that date, the collection crew did not pick up the materials because they claimed the material were not bundled or bagged, which was not true. I called customer care immediately, and they stated they would send the crew back to pick up the materials. That did not happen. This started a three day cycle where I would call customer care, they would give me a pick-up date, and I would arrive home after work to see the trash is still in front of my house. As of today, the yard waste is still there. Do yourself a favor, and do not use Waste Management for your residential service.

Morons. Just spent an hour on the phone with them for the third time in six months. They keep billing an old expired card despite showing in their own records that I have updated this information three times since January (this is July). Each call takes over an hour. They again billed the wrong card, and have now charged me $35 for the privilege! I'm taking my business somewhere else!

This is a company that cannot get it right, nor do they seem to care. Got the name of one of the manager responsible for pick ups from a WM employee at my church. But even that guy was ineffective at managing his own department! Missed pickups, trash strewn over my lawn and the street. I was offered plenty of free weeks of service for all of their missed pick ups, but it got down to the fact that they could not pick up reliably. When I cancelled, I told them to pick up their container within 24 hours. I was told they only picked up the containers weekly. I finally told them if they did not pick it up within a day, it would be moved to the main road outside my subdivision with a large note stating WM sucked and why. They picked it up within 24 hours. It is not my nature to threaten, but I was sick and tired of their nonsense. Hire them only if you enjoy customer DIS-service.

They used to be good. For the last year, they have become increasingly unreliable about picking up on the scheduled day and for the last 6 months, haven't hit it once. If you call them, they say that the truck broke down or some other excuse EVERY WEEK. Sometimes they get it the next day. More often, it takes calls every day until they finally show up. This week, after 2 days of no-shows, I phoned to complain and was promised that I would be picked up the next day and that the route manager would call me to talk about the service. I told them that if the route manager did not call, my next call would be to cancel service. Two days later, my grass has turned yellow under the full container and nobody has called. When I fired them, they told me "We're sorry to lose you as a customer." I told them that if this were true, they might have tried giving me the service I was paying for. They're sorry to lose my money is all.

Been using WM for about 20 years. We never had anyone else. No problems until this year. Sometimes they'll pick up at 7am and sometimes at 7pm. They missed my pick up entirely a couple of times this year. One of their new truck drivers tire-rutted my lawn on Mondays for 4 weeks in a row by backing up poorly. I know it was WM bec I finally waited out there to see who it was and busted them. The cost has been creeping up, now it's $84.41 per quarter. Too many problems this year. Their employees just aren't the same anymore. I'm trying a new company. Probably I'll have problems and fees associated with the cancellation, but I've had it with Waste Management.

Zero problems with WM over 10 years. Pickup is regular, crew/drivers are courteous and respectful of how they leave emptied containers. Price is creeping up, but so is every other vendor's. Gas prices affect everybody. And HEY! I help myself because I don't make a mess and expect the crew to clean up.

I've switched to Liberty and am much happier overall. If you go with this company, don't expect your trash to be picked up on your scheduled day. It's a complete craps shoot. Much, much more trouble than it's worth. There's other companies that will do it for the same price and actually show up.

My wife and I have had some recent trouble with WM. We've had 3-4 missed pick up's with no explanation as to why. We've switched to Liberty Disposal with lower rates and significantly better service. I advise anyone reading this to check out options when setting up trash service.

For a public traded company this outfit that serves Alpharetta is a JOKE. They consistently screw-up pick-ups and expect to have your garbage sit outside for a week before they send the morons to come get it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hire a local company whop cares about their reputation WASTE MANAGEMENT IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt like we were getting a good deal to begin with but realized their prices were a little higher than some others who I've realized now have better service than WM. They didn't recycle in my neighborhood so they told us to just put it in the trash. They returned the trash can either to the middle of my driveway or on the road. One time they refused to pick up my lawn waste and I met them at the road and they yelled at me. That was enough so I fired them. When I switched to someone else it took them 5 weeks to pick up my trash can, only after 5 calls to them requesting they come and get it. They gave us several dates when it would get picked up and missed all of them but the last one. WM needs to get their act together.

We left Waste Management for the competition that offered a lower price. There service was fine and they rarely forgot us but the pricing was higher and there wasn't any benefit for the higher cost.
