ok my pride and joy to wellpet off of 141 because he had injured his leg. After doing exactly what they told me to do, showing up at the time they told me be there, I was not seen for 3 HOURS because they did not think my baby boy was an emergency. The only reason I think they saw me within 3 hours is because I started making an issue about the time I had been sitting in the waiting room. (This was in the middle of the week and I had taken time off of work.) They FINALLY took X-rays told me his leg wasn't broken and wanted to send him home. When I insisted something more was wrong, I was dismissed and made to feel like I was overacting and they prescribed him anti-inflammatories. The only thing the anti-inflammatories did was mask the main issue until there was nothing that could be done. He now has permanent damage that will require surgery to correct because of the neglect they had with my dog. They were rude, neglectful and I felt like the only thing they were after was money from me. Don't waste your time or money here unless you want a bigger bill from a real vet.

I took our two dogs this morning for their annual shots -- went on the recommendation of a friend. Front desk did a great job of juggling several tasks at once and the techs were really great with the pups. It'll be a bit of a drive -- but worth it!

After taking in two 4 week rescued kitties, I was looking for a vet clinic since I had not been happy with the previous vet near my home. My friend that had rescued the kitties had 3 more that she wanted to save from the animal shelter and certain death. Therefore, we wanted to have something good and affordable. WellPet Humane meets and exceeds every requirement that I have in a vet!! I have never seen such wonderful employees that seem to genuinely love animals as well as love their jobs. I recommend them to everyone that I know.

We had a wonderful vet for over 20 years who sadly passed away about 2 years ago and since then we've been struggling to find another vet as caring, knowledgable, and reasonably priced. This may just be the place and it's very close to home. We have 3 great dogs who are like our children, but when vaccination time rolls around every year it has broken the bank to have their shots and heartworm tests updated, costing about $450 or more (not including heartworm or parasite medications). We brought them to WellPet Humane's Vaccination Clinic yesterday (just a couple of doors from their regular location). The total bill for all 3 dogs for all their shots and heartworm tests, plus a free nail trimming, was $183. The vet, vet techs, and reception staff were all very helpful and friendly, I loved the way they handled our dogs and our dogs did, too. Although this was just a well visit, they certainly seem to know what they are doing. The clinic is clean, and because they are so low cost that isn't an easy thing to maintain. The only somewhat negative thing I can say is that we like going back with our dogs when they are being treated--something we have always done. The Vaccine Clinic does not permit this, and I wasn't happy about that. However, our dogs were each gone just 5 minutes and came back looking very good and not unhappy about their treatment. I am glad to have found WellPet Humane after the negative experience we have had over the past two years!

I have been going to them for about 5 weeks. I brought my dog in five weeks ago because he was straining to poop. They checked him out and said he had an enlarged prostate. The doc advised this was common and he needed to be neutered and this would make his prostate return to normal size. I took her advice and paid for full panel blood & urine test and paid for him to be neutered. He was neutered a day later. Two weeks after that he was still having the same problems. I took him back, had to pay again for urine test and they said he had a urinary tract infection. They prescribed antibiotics and sent us on our way. Once again a week later (I didnt wait 2 weeks this time) he finished all his antibiotics but still has the same problem. I took him back this past weekend on 6/18, still has the same problems! I basically had him neutered for nothing and spent over $500 and yet he is still suffering with the same problem!!!! Now 5 weeks later I have to start from scratch! He is worse off now than when we 1st went to them!

i wouldlove to tell my story as others have done. I will just say these people are the guardian angels for your pet. They saved my shih-tzu's life. Dr Hill was wonderful and had her in surgery the same day I called. Great people. You can tell they care. gail fell

Other vet performed mastectomy on my 13 year old cat and they only used staples on her 17 inches incision. Her stomach was leaking so badly until the day her staples were removed. I warned them but they removed them anyways, and I ended up taking her to ER to get her re-stitched after the incision got open again where it had been leaking. The same vet still wanted to charge me $700.00 for the dental cleaning and there was no way I would take her back to there. My other cat also has breast cancer and their surgeries and chemo sessions already cost me about $10,000. Although I don't qualify for their low-income qualification, I explained my current financial situation on the appointment application and they contacted me back right away. Dr. Orlin was genuinely sympathized when I told her about my experience with other vet and me taking care of two very sick cats. Although the technician already took blood from my cat, she said she wouldn't send it to the lab because she could still use the results from previous blood test. She said she didn't want to do anything extra unless it was necessary because I had been through a lot. She also volunteered to remove the sutures and staples (yes, the other vet failed to remove couple of staples and they were sticking out from her stomach) for free. All this and deep dental cleaning cost me much less than I used to pay for other vets for the initial physical exam. I am so thankful for her to take us in and take care of my baby.

After relocating back to Atlanta I needed a new vet. My friends all live in affluent neighborhoods and use vets that are SO expensive that even if I could afford to use them I wouldn't! I didn't see any extraordinary care that would warrant the charges they were getting. I knew there had to be a caring, reasonable vet in the community and I started searching the internet right away! Well, I struck GOLD when I found WellPet!! I called and spoke to friendly, experienced staff that truly cared about the welfare of your pet and was stunned by the prices for their services! I immediately made an appt, with virtually no wait time, and was so happy when I arrived for my appt. Everything that came across on the phone was dead on upon arrival. They were very caring and had a true sense of quality care for your pet without having to pay for "their perks like location, waiting rooms, stationary, ect!". It was a clean efficient office and the staff was truly remarkable. Matt, the vet tech, was SO great. He answered all my questions and treated my pet as if it were his own. Dr Priest, was the same. INCREDIBLE! I won't go anywhere else and have talked to all of my friends about them. My dog needed her annual exam and as it turns out needs a tooth pulled. I can actually afford to have any service performed here knowing Scarlett is getting THE ABSOLUTE BEST CARE POSSIBLE. The icing on the cake is that the prices are SO reasonable! Thank you WellPET!!

The office manager, Bob, will dupe you into thinking you're being monitarily compensated for your working interview. He will tell you that you will be paid, then never pay you. I took a day off of work to do a working interview with this hospital, and never heard from Bob again. Not a very honest, ethical person.

There are several reasons to use WellPet Humane and the reasonable charges are not the most important. They understand that in the current economy many people cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars on animal healthcare, BUT most important they care about the animals and treat patient and people alike with kindness. Our vet had wanted $1000 to spay our 9 lb puppy and pull 10 baby teeth. We were not able to afford that - at WellPet we were able to have it done at a price we could afford and our puppy was well taken care of by the staff. I will not ever use any other vet - I appreciate all of the staff and being able to afford taking proper care of my dog.

Thank goodness for WellPet Humane. I have an elderly dog and cost for care for him from blood tests to medicines have been putting me into major debt. I just couldn't afford to take him anywhere. Most vets near where I live were charging $50+ just to walk in the door, not to mention the cost for x-rays or blood work if needed. My dog needed to have his teeth cleaned very badly but even checking those prices made me just put it off. Dr. Orlin did a great job on his teeth and the cost was doable for me. I'm a fan! I love what they're doing for the pet lover community and the non-profit agency helping out deserve kudos, too!
