After my experience today, in my opinion, it is too risky for me to let them do future maintenance on my RX-8. After dropping off my RX-8 for an oil change, Westcott Mazda reported that my oil cap was missing, so I told them to not perform an oil change until I received the part. A little later, Westcott reported they found an oil cap from another RX-8 they could use on mine, so I went ahead and told them to go ahead and do the oil change since they reportedly found a good oil cap. Well when I arrived to pick up my car, according to the Service Advisor there was some miscommunication within their organization such that no one informed him the oil cap they found turned out to be incompatible with my RX-8. Result: they performed the oil change anyway despite not yet having a proper oil cap for my car. Yes, I argued my case but they still charged me for the oil change I did not want until after I received a proper oil cap. If you do decide to go with Westcott Mazda for maintenance, you may need to figure out how to reduce the risks of miscommunication within their service organization like the one I experienced. How? I don't know. I think my RX-8 will be fine, but it makes me nervous when businesses have a lack of internal communications that results in unsatisfactory service you have no choice but to pay for. Please consider other Mazda Service Centers.

The service department sucks. What a bunch of liars. I have yet to hear from them about some parts I ordered which was supposed to take 7 days. It's almost 3 months now and my warranty has expired. Big Whoop!! I can never trust their service department.

I can say I have always had a good experience in getting my car serviced here. I always make an appointment, so there's no waiting and they always call if there is anything extra.

Buying a car is scarey to most people; I went in and expected high pressure. Instead, I got none. For one, being a African-Amerian fat female, no one usualy pays any attention to me, shich is good. I looked around, asked questions, got lots of info, and took a test drive. and left. I came back and bought a different car from the one I test drove. Not too shabby on service and sales.

When I went here to look at a car no one could figure out where it was. When they found it and I test drove it the guy with me couldn't tell me one thing about it or answer any of my questions. When I got back to the lot one guy ran out screaming at another dropping f-bombs with customers around. He went on like that for a couple minutes while I got led to a room where they tried to high pressure me into buying a car right that minute because there was someone coming from an hour away to come look at it. I left and I looked on the website a month later and the car was still there. Seriously every other Mazda in San Diego county is better than this one.

Westcott Mazda is average on the sales bit; but I think they are above average when it comes to after service. I too can say that I have received excellent service on my car here.

Each time I have had to tkae in my Mazda, I have gotten good customer service, speedy and prompt. I may not like the bill, but the way the salespeople handles things is great by me.

I have bought 3 cars(1995, 2000, 2008) from Westcott Mazda and had a very pleasent experience every time; their service department has alwasy been very helpful and prompt when I have had to take my cars back for service, whether in or out of warranty. They alwasy wash your car after they service it. One salesperson even gave me a ride to my house, since I had forgotten my check book when getting ready to make a car pruchase as I had taken to trolly to get there!

I recently went and test drove a new Mazda 3. The sales associate was very nice and was not pushy. I left feeling that I got a lot of information without a pushy salesman. I was very happy with my visit.
