Westwind performed our major yard landscaping project during the summer of 2008. It was a considerable effort, and we solicited a number of bids. We initially selected contractors based on their Better Business Bureau rating and history. The other contractors we sought bids from either said "tell us what you want and we'll bid on that individual piece" (without any comprehension or creativity about the total project) or "here's our vision for what you want" and they were actually unpleasant when we didn't immediately embrace their specific vision. What sold us from the start was Westwind's capacity to bring creativity and practicality to the task and to be able to envision and draft plans on the entire project. We had basic ideas what we wanted. They met our desires while finding numerous ways to improve on them and to cut costs while producing an even better final work product. The staff were totally professional and efficient and kept us up to date on each stage of the project. We came in within budget and the final results were stunning. Stan R. San Diego, CA

We chose Westwind after reviewing MANY quotes from landscapers and contractors for months. Their price for the work was competitive, their ideas were great, and I had a recommendation from a recent project. They were described to us as an honest, family-owned company - and that was our experience. Our project included drainage, irrigation, cement, a wood portico, walkways, planter beds and sod. They finished ON TIME and ON BUDGET. Their crew was clean cut, considerate and worked quickly. They had a lot of experience on their team and it showed. Everything was tested with the recent rains (record breaking) and we are happy to say the drains worked beautifully and everything still looks amazing! I would recommend Westwind to anyone looking for landscaping work to be done.

Our palm tree is of course HIGH MAINTENANCE. Westwind's Landscaping crew came the same day, did their work well and fast, cleaned up the mess, and still had a little time to chat and get to know their customer. Their work, quality, service, and value is fantastic all around. I would give their number to my friends and family any day!!

Having seen the results of the removal of several large eucalyptus trees at my sister's place and hearing their happy comments about the good job and the crew, I gave Westwind a call when I needed help with a large hazardous dead oak that was overhanging my neighbor's property and vehicles. Daniel came out promptly and gave me a good bid. Much to my relief two days later the problem was taken care of expertly and carefully. I even got a freebie trim on another oak that Daniel pointed out needed it. I happily recommend Westwind to anyone who cares about their trees and good honest work.

Our front yard had deteriorated and needed a remodel. Our plan was to do the work "in-house." We got a good start by tearing out most of the old, but realized that to achieve our objective we needed professional assistance. While interviewing contractors we were impressed with Steve Mascari's depth of knowledge and that Westwind was experienced not only in landscaping but also had a contractor's license. Even though they didn't submit the lowest bid, we selected them because we were sure they would provide the best value. We weren't disappointed. They started work immediately with a team of three experienced landscapers. They had all the right equipment (skip loader, cement mixer, big trucks, etc.) to do the job quickly and effectively. In five work days, they had removed and trimmed trees and shrubs, replaced a broken block wall, graded, planted three trees and numerous other smaller plants, converted our sprinkler system to a drip system with a timer, and spread 8 cubic yards of river rock ground cover. Every worker was professional and took a keen interest in meeting our expectations. We were particularly impressed when Steve suggested that we go with him to the nursery to chose water-wise plants that were right for our design. His knowledge of what plants would and would not work was invaluable. We highly recommend Westwind Landscape.

I have used Westwind landscape for a number of projects on several of my properties over the past 8 years ranging from full landscaping and stone work in clairmont, Brush clearing and fruit tree prunning as well as a large pine tree that had a broken limb come down through my skylight in a major storm out in jamul needless to say it was an emergency and a crew was out within 1 hour and the house was almost 30 minutes from their headquarters. I had them out yesterday on a tree trimming job and they went above and beyond and saw 2 extra trees that needed care, because I have been a lifer and would never use anyone else, they took care of it for the love of the trees, they did an amazing clean up and my views have been restored from my mount helix estate. I appreciate a family business and BBB Members and would recommend this company to everyone in San Diego. Thank you Westwind landscape for handeling all my needs and being professional and prompt everytime.

I have used Westwind a dozen times and it just keeps getting better and better. This time they trimmed trees. Danny was excellent. He was prompt with an estimate and got the job done the same week. They have reasonable rates and make sure you are happy with the job in the end. I would definetly use them again. S. Lakeside, CA

I hired Westwind Landscape to re-do my entire backyard including brickwork, concrete, sprinklers, sprinkler manifold, and trees/plants. I was extremely impressed by their commitment to ensuring my job was completed flawlessly. They wouldn't stop until I was 100% satisfied. The management, supervisors, and workers were the utmost of professionals - from contracts, to scheduling, to completion of the job. I can't say enough good things about this company. As a senior military officer I am quite "picky" about the work that people do on my house - they were even pickier than I was in ensuring things were done "right"! They are licensed contractors and registered with the BBB (no complaints go figure). Working with Tom Mascari (manager) and Gus (supervisor) was a joy - they treated me and my relatively small project (in the landscaping industry) as if I was a $300K job. Their "people skills" are awesome - they are true professionals in every sense!
