Wheel Works thinking I could get a simple patch and be on my way............I thought wrong! My story; I brought in my tire at about 1pm on Dec 11, was given an estimate of $30 for the repair, told to return in an hour. I returned in 2 hours and was then told that nit was not fixable, the hole too big and I needed a new tire; estimate $200 !I told them I was not planning to spend that much Today, and would get back to them the next day. Next day, I found a used tire (exact same one) for $60. I returned with said used tire and asked them to mount for me AND save my tire that could not be repaired. Was told, about an hour.......Returned in about 2 hours and they had not even started.....4 hours later was done. I was told that the date code on the used tire said if was over 2 years old?? WTF? The other 3 tires on my car are about 2 years old? I asked for my old tire, and low and behold, it was not to be found! I stood my ground and after about 45 minutes, they found it. When home, I inspected and it seemed like the hole was not that big. So, I took it to another place (Rolling Stock) Turns out it was an easy repair ($15). I am quite UN-happy with Wheel Works. I spent all this time and money for what should have been $15 (or $30 with them.) I plan on going there this week WITH the repaired tire and see what the Manager has to say or will do to make this right.
