I had an appt w/ Whitestar today. He never showed & never called. This is after a month in-advance booking and a reschedule for or original appointment two days ago because my agent apparently went out of town all of a sudden, I was given an hour and a half notice of this reschedule. These types of clerical issues are NOT what I need on my move day, and their office has shown me that they are not capable enough to handle a smooth move day, since they cannot even get the estimate appointments squared away correctly.

Run away, stay away, don't even call them! I had three estimates to move our belongings to another state, including Whitestar. Their price was lower than others by $1000+, but I later found out they under-estimated the bid to get the job (by more than 2,400 lbs!), which ended up costing me $1,000 MORE than the others who quoted a guarenteed fixed price! Some of the packers/movers they used in Detroit must have been pulled from the local unemployment line because some things were packed by 'throwing' them in a box and then putting some wrapping paper on top. They damaged the house we moved from (walls, floors, doorways - almost nothing was protected), damaged a lot of our belongings and made a mess at our house with their lunch food. INSURANCE - we opted for full coverage, but beware, it is nothing more than a scam. Reiumbursement is fought all the way by the insurance company, your time is not covered (e.g. time off), moving/shipping of item to be repaired is not covered, reduction in value (e.g. antiques) is not covered, etc. Basically WORTHLESS.
