Since I haven't cooked it yet, I don't know how these veal shanks will taste, but I can say unequivocably that this market is a huge ripoff. I ordered 10, fresh, two-inch veal shanks for a dinner party. Wilkes tried to pawn off $209 worth of frozen, three-inch veal shanks. Because I HAD to have the meat because our guests were arriving that evening, I accepted six pieces for $17.99 per pound, a total of $124. That price is highway robbery. The shank is not a coveted piece of meat... it's the legs of a cow for Pete sake and they usually run for a maximum of $10.99 per pound. These Wilkes weasels knew they had me over a barrel and took advantage of the situation. I hope their crooked business practices get them run out of town on a rail. I'd give them no stars, but Kudzu requires it.

I like Wilkes for their lunch selection that I can run in and pick up on the weekdays. The food is very good when you consider the price. For $5 I can get a meat and three vegtables, which is very good in my opinion. Great banana puding as well!!
