I called William Word based on a recommendation from a neighbor. A few weeks ago William's crew removed a large diseased sweetgum that was dropping branches over my son's room. It was a big tree and... therefore a big job. The tree was inaccessible by crane so the guys climbed it and removed it piece by piece, lowering the sections with rope. The crew was careful to protect the perennials and shrubs nearby, and even dug up several shrubs that would have been destroyed by the process of cutting the tree and grinding the stump. The process was a mess, especially the Bobcat driving over the yard, but the job needed to be done, and they did their best to minimize the damage. They were great about cleaning everything up before they left. The crew was very friendly, respectful and professional.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

These guys were great. William gave me a great price and they were very professional. They trimmed my trees, removed the limbs, blew off my deck and cleaned the debris. Will definitely use again!!! Great Job!
I had a huge tree in my yard that was struck by lightning. I wanted it to be removed as soon as possible. A friend recommended using William Word Tree, and said that they were very good. They came and removed the tree the next day, and did a spectacular job cleaning up the area around the tree as well. My yard was back to normal and looking beautiful in no time. They worked quickly and efficiently, and were very polite. I was very pleased with my choice to call William Word Tree!! :)
I have trees that are very close to my house as well as an acre of trees in my back yard and front yard. I have had to have quite a few trees removed in the last ten years. These guys are real pros. They are very reasonable on their prices, too You can be sure that these guys can get the job done right and in a timely manner. Good pricing, too.
Signed a contract w/ them on Tuesday to trim some trees and also referred to a neighbor who needed two diseased trees taken down. They did not show later in the day, as promised, and not on Wed. either. I called and left a message and got no response! Wouldn't recommend them to anyone based on customer no-service alone.
This company was in our neighborhood last week to cut down our neighbors trees. One of the employees ask us if we would like some free mulch. I told him we would only want one yard of mulch and if that was too much trouble than no. He said that was fine. I left to pick up my kids from school while they were still working on my neighbors trees. When I returned, I found more than one yard (I would guesstimate 4 yards) of mulch had been dumped in my driveway. I contacted the company to request that they come remove the unwanted mulch. This was on Wednesday. I was told that it would be Monday (today) before they could make it out. When I followed up with them today, I left a message. I got a call back from the employee who left the mulch who claim to have no idea why I was calling. I explained to him why, we went round as to the details (yes he wanted to argue about the details and when he would do the pick up). We then spoke with the original gentleman at the main number and was rudely told that he did no service for me and that he was not going to pick up the mulch. Sorry sir, but the service was dumping "free" mulch that YOU OFFERED to me. That was the service you provided. I trusted your company, and thought about getting a quote from you. Well no longer. I will post this in every review spot I can find on your company. All this for some mulch you could have come to get. This is the service you will receive from William Word Tree Company.
I have used tree companies in the past and there is no comparison to the level of professionalism that these guys displayed. From the time they came in the morning until they were finished, their work was top notch! Mike and the guys were very friendly and when I call the owner to add on two more trees, he was extremely accommodating and understanding. I highly recommend these guys!!!
My farm had a big birch fall on my fence and I called these guys to come remove it. I was shocked at how affordable they are and I had 2 more big trees that were dead and needed come down. Because of how affordable it was, they took them down on the spot! They were really nice and I highly recommended them!
This tree company removed 2 big pines and 3 dead Bradford pear trees from our yard. Billy and the guys a WWTE were great! They were very friendly and professional. They did a great job cleaning everything up. I hate to say it but my yard look better than before they came! I will be using them again in the future!
We had 3 large pines removed by William Word's company. They were very friendly, cleaned up EVERYTHING and I was pleasantly surprised how affordable it was. My neighbor got the free mulch for her yard which she was also very happy about! The guys were so nice and professional. When we are ready to get the next few trees taken down I will be calling William for sure!!!
I have used William Word's Tree Experts to drop and remove a 100 foot Oak that was hanging over my house. The owner did the job himself with surgical precision. Which did not look like and easy task to say the least considering the size of the limbs hanging over the house and the location of the tree. They left the place as clean as it was before the arrived. On time and on budget.
Tree company used my yard to take down a neighbor's trees because their yard made it difficult for the equipment to be brought in. I was promised that the company would fix my yard to my satisfaction after the fact but instead they left holes, killed a large patch of grass and took a gouge out of my drieway. When I spoke with the owner of the company today he cursed at me and proceeded to hang up. The promise of a fixed yard went unfilled. There are a half dozen craters and now and an area of dead grass. Most shocking was the way that I was spoken to (by the owner of the company no less) and the degree of dishonesty displayed by all who we dealt with. Use caution if dealing with them. No good deed goes unpunished...
My neighbor was using William Word’s Tree Experts to have a bunch of trees taken down. I stopped by to see if he could give me an estimate and by that evening his crew had taken down 7 dead trees for a very reasonable price. His crew worked efficiently with very little mess. They even helped me out by chipping up some extra trees and debris for me. I will defiantly call William Word for future tree maintenance.
William Word and his crew came up to CT after the 'Halloween Storm' on Oct. 29, 2011. He came to West Hartford and gave my mother a quote to prune and trim three hardwoods. They removed the broken limbs of two huge oaks and a maple doing all with great care and precision. Some of the oak limbs were directly over the house and not easily accessible but his crew handled it expertly. I am so happy that he and his crew decided to come up to CT, they did a great job!
We called William for an estimate to take down a large, dangerous tree in front of our house. He came that day and emailed us a quote that night. His price was half that of the company we've used in the past. We said yes and the tree was removed two days later. His crew worked cleanly and efficiently. We will definitely call him for future tree needs.
