We threw Don a tricky one. We removed a built-in barbecue which left a gaping hole in our flagstone patio. Don did an excellent job filling the hole while matching the surrounding stone and mortar.... In fact, I think he had to lower is own standards to match the surrounding 'workmanship'. The result is a nearly undetectable repair job. I highly recommend him for this kind of improvisational masonry.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Wilson Masonry remodeled our ugly 1949 FIREPLACE complete with cultured stone refacing, new mantel and fireplace screen. He totally transformed the room. I would recommend this company without reservation. Reasonable price too!

Don Wilson has turned our backyard into a beautiful and functional living area! He designed and built our BBQ Island from the ground up. We told him what we wanted and he delivered way above our expectations. He kept the jobsite clean and worked in a courteous and very professional manner and was always here when he said he would be. He worked with us on the design and offered unique tips that only an experienced contractor would know. Excellent in every way. Wilson Masonry will be our contractor of choice when we pave our side yard and give our fireplace a facelift.

Wilson Masonry took out damaged concrete walkways and patios, they installed beautiful pavers, they also put in a lovely stream and a Koi pond. Don's bid was the best and he stuck to it. Don and his crew were efficient and professional and the workmanship is top-notch. Don was flexible and a pleasure to work with- and my dog loved him! We would definitely call him again.

Don Wilson built a beautiful concrete block wall with pillars, a courtyard wall and expanded our concrete patio deck. He was very helpful in designing the whole thing and the finished product was just what we were looking for. We highly recommend Wilson Masonry to provide quality service at a reasonable price.

I bought a hot tub last summer and placed it on a spa pad in my yard. Over the last year, the soil began to compress on one side of the hot tub due to its weight, causing the hot tub to be unlevel. I wanted to hire someone to pour a block of concrete under it for stability and to prevent any potential damage to the hot tub. I called several contractors who poured concrete and don offered me the lowest price by far. Since he had good reviews on this website, I decided to hire him. He was professional, prompt, efficient, and friendly. He did excellent work and went to great efforts to schedule the work at times when it was convenient for me. He even noticed that a stone in the walkway to my front door was loose, as well as a large crack. He offered to fix both free of charge. Don is fantastic. I would highly recommend him! (^_^)

Don was prompt with; our first appointment, the quote and starting the job. His price was fair. He did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will use him in the future.

Don Wilson is the best at customer service and quality. We hired him to put river rock (El Dorado stone) on a 14 ft fireplace and a 9ft BBQ face. He also stucco'd the top and back of the fireplace and repaired some stucco work another contractor botched. He did a terrific job. He is precise and takes great pride in his work. He is a Navy vet (QM rate and you have to be pretty smart to be one of those) for those of us who value taking care of our service brethren. Don does stucco and masonry, but don't hesitate to ask him about other skills. He made a comment that he has even done concrete work. You will be delighted with Wilson Masonry.

We built our custom home in San Diego 4 years ago and have had to utilize the services of many different types of contractors. We hired Don Wilson of Wilson Masonry to build a retaining wall around two corners of our property, along with stone work to complement the custom iron fence we were having installed. He also did the stone walkway & re-did our front porch and steps with stone. I can honestly say that Don is the best contractor we have ever dealt with. He is honest, trustworthy, and fair. He gave us a very reasonable bid and kept his word. He showed up on time every day and finished the job, as agreed. His work exceeded our expectations. We have had many neighbors and people drive or walk by asking who did the work, and we highly recommend him to anyone. He is very easy to work with and has a great eye for detail. You will not be disappointed. In fact, we intend to use him for the masonry work that we would like done on the side and back yards. And that says a lot because in all the years we've used contractors, we have never found one that so impressed us that we wanted to use them again. If you're familiar with dealing with contractors in San Diego, then I'm sure you know what I mean! So if you have masonry work, look no further. He may sound too good to be true, but trust me, he's that good.
