My shepherd stayed at winding creek for the holidays last year and I was very satisfied with the care she received and the curteous customer service I received. We are heading back there for the holidays. I highly recommend Winding Creek.

The people at Winding Creek are fantastic. Very friendly, professional, and meticulous. They quickly offered me a tour on my first visit, and they were able to answer all of my questions. The facility is immaculate and well-maintained. I cannot speak to the size of the cat quarters, but the dog kennel spaces are huge. You are welcome to bring your pet's own food and toys.

I like it that they offer nature walks (they're located in a somewhat rural area, which is great) and play times. Their prices are comparable to or better than other high-quality kennels.

We've had some bad boarding / doggie daycare experiences in the Athens area in recent years, and we were very happy to find an excellent facility. The employees at Winding Creek love animals and, just as importantly, really know animals and respect pet owners. When I told them about the behavioral quirks of one of our three dogs, they really listened to me. Unlike the employees of the place to which we used to take our dogs, the people at Winding Creek know that it is very likely that you know more about your dog's personality and needs than anyone else.

Our dogs are treated so well at WCK, and so are we humans!

As someone who has spent the last 20 + years heavily involved in animal rescue, the care and treatment of pets is extremely important to me. I probably worry more than the average person about my pets while I am gone; they are my “fur kids” and I can’t leave them with just anyone. Winding Creek Kennels has been a lifesaver! When I first starting bringing my pets to WCK, I worried constantly about how they were doing, whether they missed me, etc. Now, 17 years later, I can safely say, my dogs love it there! Since day one, they have always come home happy, stress free dogs! Another thing I really love about Winding Creek is that all their staff truly love the animals. It isn’t “just a job” to them. One of the ladies in the office even fosters a dog for the local humane society. I know for a fact that almost everyone on staff has a rescued pet, including the owners who have 3! The owners have even gone out of their way to donate a run to their local humane society. I guess what I really want to stress, is that these people really care about what they do. They have always treated my pets like they were their own. They are passionate about caring for animals. They are there because they want to be and love what they do, not because it is an “ends to a means” and a way to make money. It just makes me feel that much better about leaving my pets, knowing they are with people who truly care about them.

I have been bringing my 3 cats to Winding Creek now for 4 years. They always get plenty of love and attention and never mind being left there. I actually think they enjoy all the activity going on and the attention given. Would never take them elsewhere because the staff here is so loving.

I have been bringing my two German Shepherds to Winding Creek for years now. They LOVE it there! The facility is in the country, on a farm, the dogs watch the other animals, go on nature walks, have playtime, are fed the best food, listen to pet Cd's, and look adorable when I pick them up, all washed with bandannas around their necks appropriate to seasons and holidays too. The owners are great and caring. I also love that they live on the premises so they are available if needed, unlike other facilities that lock up the pets at night when the staff goes home and noone is there.
I will not board them anywhere else. I had tried other places and they were sad and lonely. Here they always see people and other animals. They are even planning to build a pool for dogs. It is truly a resort and a safe and loving place to bring your fur kids! Worth the half hour drive there, worth ANY drive there. One person drives from Virginia just to board his dog there and then flies out on business from Atlanta.
