According to our most recent, three-month (stable) data for WaveFront IntraLASE, in over 400 myopic (nearsighted) patients, over 96% saw at least 20/20 at distance with binocular, uncorrected vision. 100% saw 20/32 or better. Almost 80% saw BETTER than 20/20! There were no infections, scars, or flap dehiscence and only one case of flap "wrinkles" that required secondary smoothing. No patient eye in the history of LASIK or WaveFront IntraLASE at Woodhams Eye Clinic in Atlanta has ever "gone blind" or suffered permanent loss of vision more than three lines on an eye chart.

I had Cataract surgery in November 2013 on both eyes and through the healing process I was not seeing perfectly and did not think the mono-vision was working for me. I had High expectations! Dr. Woodhams took the time himself to give me options and explain what I should expect with each. I decided to have a Yag laser procedure done to clean up the haze that was affecting my vision. Now I see better than 20/20 with Mono-vision. I still needed glasses for computer work and wanted a pair of sunglasses for driving and other activities where I wanted to see clearly for distance in both eyes. This is where the frosting of the whole clinic happened. The staff introduced me to Helene and Valerie. As a designer I am very picking on quality and the details. They work with me as a team to come up with options and why certain frames would work best for my needs. I was very happy and excited to get my new glasses. When I picked up my glasses I showed them a pair of sunglasses (Maui Jims) that I had just broke a lens on. she sent them to Maui to find out that they discontinued that model and could not fix them. Helene called her distributer and he gave her a coupon to get 50% off a replacement pair. Helena and Valerie are awesome. I have terrible eyesight and never have many options of cool glasses, but Helena and Valerie took time to help me find glasses I would never think I would be able to where because of how thick I need the glass to be. They also took precise measurements like I have never seen before. They also assured me they would rush up the process of receiving my glasses in order for me to get them before I go off to school. I completely recommend getting your glasses here.
I had the pleasure of working with Helena and Valerie to obtain my glasses at Woodhams. I had a problem with another vendor and came to Helena who told me she would take care of me and to come back. I took her advice and she helped me pick out my glasses, which I love, AND she got them back to me within the week because I was leaving on vacation. Helena and Valerie are both AWESOME and very customer service oriented. I was very pleased with my interaction with both of them and will be back in the future. Highly recommend!
My Surgery was on April 3rd 2014. For 40 years I have been wearing glasses. Contacts are too much trouble and complications. Also I have been in commercial construction most of my life, so a lot of outdoor activity. I met J. Trevor Woodhams, M.D. from an advertisement, Belinda Skelton. My evaluation was very successful and very caring professional staff. Crystalens (Implantable Contact Lenses) was the choice decided for me, I also obtain a private pilots license. It now has been a couple months since surgery and the weather is hot outside and like the fact I don’t have to wear eye glasses that feel like I have 20lbs on my face. Non prescription safety eye glasses are so nice, plus I feel my eyes are more protected from UV rays. Transitions never got dark enough for me. I will be going back for post op to finish up procedure. You have to be patient for your eyes to fully heal, but soooo worth it!!! Look forward to getting back up in the air soon. Dr. Woodham said I should have no problem seeing near, mid and distance. Folks I’m here to tell YOU the distance and mid range is OUTSTANDING and my night vision is better than my natural lenses. My near is getting better, I may have to use readers for close up details. I can perform 90% of my daily activity without the need for glasses. I was there for annual eye exam but was billed for medical. I called and trying to get them to change it, but I get a lot of resistance on doing so. I spoke with a manager (DiDi?) who promised to call me back but never happened. I was in the office for 2+ hours and saw Dr. Livernois for 5 mins if not less; I think he was somewhat insulting by trying to over emphasize the way he speak as if I didn't not understand English at all. I had such a pleasant experience at Woodhams last year (2013) visit, it was the main reason i decided to come back again when Woodhams sent me a annual eye exam reminder via email; the fact that i was reminded for annual eye exam and that I didn't come into the office complaining existing eye problems is sufficient to say that my visit should not be of medical reasons. on top of that, the diagnose was exactly the same as the last visit in 2013 further indicates the visit was a routine. I don't believe it is wise to lose a customer (or more) for $140. On the side note, they wanted me to pay additional $40 just to have my measurements so i can get new glasses!!
I recently had cataract surgery in my right eye at the Woodhams Eye Clinic. I was a "high myope" being almost a -9.00. My cataract was far along for my mid-50s. I could see very well the next day, and three days later I was seeing better than I did wearing my contact. Today it was measured at 20/16. Very happy patient. I liked several things about Woodhams. First the office was easy with free parking and I could just walk in. The staff was excellent and the technician were tops over my years going to the eye doctor. They have their own in office surgery center which was easier and cheaper than having to use Piedmont or Northside. I have had friends who have had LASIK with Woodhams and they are amazed. Dr. Woodhams took the time with me to make sure I had all my questions answered. If you go here, you will be in good hands.
I know a lot of friends that have had LAZIK surgery. I put it off for about 7 years, until this week. While more expensive than I planned it was worth every penny. I now have 20/12 vision, and couldn't be happier. Customer service was exceptional and Gary was a real pro.
While nervous about the whole process, the initial consult was very comforting...and the day of was great too! Staff has been friendly & helpful at follow ups. Dr. O'Brien could be a bit more warm, but the rest of the team is very comforting.
Dr. Woodhams performed my ICL surgery on October 8, and within a week, I was seeing 20/20 in one eye and 20/12 in the other eye. This procedure has changed my life as I have worn glasses since I was 4 years (I'm now 36) and was in -8.5 contacts. He is the surgeon that Visian (the ICL manufacturer) recommended in the Atlanta area. Despite a small glare that still remains in my left eye, I would recommend Dr. Woodhams and this procedure over and over. The staff is very friendly and supportive. They were just as excited as I was when I came out of surgery and could finally see! Thank you for changing my life.

I've worn glasses/contacts for 25 years & grew tired of the routine. With research & surveys, by far Woodhams Eye Clinic was the most recommended! Dr. Woodhams performed custom LASIK surgery on me and I now have much improved eye sight and no longer need my contacts or glasses. Also, the Staff at Woodhams could not have been nicer or more helpful. I highly recommend Woodhams for your eye care.
I've had glasses for 7-8 years now and I decided I was going to look into getting lasik. I did the research and decided to visit Woodhams Eye Clinic. A few weeks ago I had the consultation and testing and it was very easy, the staff was very friendly and professional and Dr. Woodhams took the time to address all of my questions and concerns. Yesterday I had Custom Intralase Lasik done on both eyes and it went really well. I was very nervous but they made me feel relaxed and Dr. Woodhams told me everything he was doing and made me feel comfortable. Today I went for follow up and I'm 20/12 with both eyes. It's truly life changing, and I'm so happy that I picked Woodhams. If you're on the fence go see them because he will tell you if you are a good candidate and unlike other providers if you are not a good candidate he will not perform the procedure. It's easily one of the best purchases of my life, and I can't thank Woodhams enough!!

An absolute Nightmare. The physician may be decent, but the support staff that he has surrounded himself with is terrible. They were sloppy in the pre-surgical measurements and completely wrecked the vision in one of my eyes by over-correcting it by +1.00 !!!. I could tell they were rushing through the exam trying to get me into the operating room, and I brought it to their attention that they had stopped adjusting the machine before the image was in focus on my second eye in the way they had on the first. But they said, that it really wasn't important as it was just redundant measurements. It was so bad that I had to buy out my own pocket a special pair of glasses costing several hundred dollars just to manage near 5 months of bad vision and terrible headaches until a SECOND surgery could correct their mistake. Then there was the time off of work, the medications, and numerous other expenses, not to mention the time and pain. To add insult to injury... literally... their PRACTICE MANGER had the nerve to repeatedly tell me how grateful that I should be that they were waiving the fees for the second surgical procedure. Then, because one eye was on a different Post-Op schedule than the second double surgery eye, they wanted to charge me for follow up visits because they say they only include follow ups for a certain period from the FIRST surgery, regardless! Follow ups = his assistant IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN I WOULD PAY TWICE AS MUCH TO GO TO SOMEONE DIFFERENT
Having had multiple previous eye operations with different surgeons always makes a perfect optical result difficult to achieve. We are sorry needing +1 D. glasses is not good enough. As was explained at length, before each of your procedures, it is unreasonable to expect that continued surgical intervention will improve things to the degree you seem to want. May we respectfully suggest you consider very carefully any further eye operations recommended elsewhere.
Remainder of my contacts have been ordered and will be mailed to my house. Got the receipts and will submit the rebate. Still don't know if I'll go back, but they did fix what was wrong. They need more staff, especially in the optical department.
