Yager, Howard S MD

I had a full medical checkup with Dr. Yager in June of 2005. For me being a male, checkup included prostate exam (you fill in the blanks). Dr Yager failed to locate a 3in by 2.5in malignant tumor inside my large intestine, located 2 inches from the skin (he gave me a clean bill of health instead). Another doctor said his 15-year old daughter would be able to find it. I had successful surgery and I am in remission. His office staff also billed me for the pregnancy test and ovarian (???) cancer markers. An old doctor desperately overdue for retirement. Have tried to forget about the experience, but all these other great reviews of him are flawed. If my life depended on him, I would have been dead by now. And that is true.

I like the personal attention you get at Dr. Yager's. As opposed to most doctors, he sees you at the actual time of your appointment. And when i say he sees you, it's the actual doctor, not armies of nurses and MA's.

When a doctor knows the names of everyone in your family and asks how everyone is doing, you know that the person is a "Family" doctor. Over 17 years, Dr. Yager has watched my kids grow, has filled out countless summer camp forms, and has been available for all our life changes. I've changed jobs and insurance over the years, but NEVER would think about changing doctors. Great staff too!

I have been seeing Dr. Yager for awhile now with a brief absence while living in LA and DC. Nothing has changed he still offers top notch care with a great chairside manner. He was even great enough to postpone my payment until my HSA card arrived due to a mixup with my HR department. I can't say enough nice things about him. Trust me you won't be disappointed! Thank you Dr. Yager!

I've been going to Dr. Yager for about 15 years. I always get an appointment, his staff is friendly and I am treated with respect. Dr. Yager is always on top of the latest treatments and medications and he checks to make sure whatever he prescribes for you can be tolerated. Greatest bedside manner in Atlanta!
