Rude, unstable and ranting plumber.
Unstable, I had a problem with my Rinnai hot water heater; it was making growling noise when it started up. I Called K2 plumbing and left a message because they were listed as working on Rinnai. I received a return call and I tell guy on the phone the problem. Then this guy started to insist that my Rinnai was installed wrong even though he has never seen it. He Insist that the vent pipe is stopped up. I tell him that I looked at the vent pipe and I did not see any obstruction and I told the guy that my Rinnai had worked well for almost 5 years and I have never had a problem until now. He says that it had to be showing an error code and I tell him that it is not show any error code. That it is working but makes a loud noise when it starts up each time and it sounded like a solenoid. This sends the guy into a rant over the phone at me. He starts talking about me never changing the oil in a car. (I don’t know where that came). Then he insists that that I had had multiple people come out and work on the hot water heater. At this point I realize he has never seen my hot water heater and he is ranting a me over the phone. I just want to get off the phone with this guy who sounds unstable. He then tells me that I live to far away in (Marietta), would cost 200.00 for him to just come and look at it. This is my only experience with K2 and it will be my last. .

very reasonable
Kevin repaired a broken pipe on our rental property. He came out immediately, dug up the ground to find the problem, and gave us a great quote. Far less than any of our other quotes. We even had another company want to charge us $30 just to come out for a quote. We will definately call K2 Plumbing for our next plumbing repair.

Great service
Kevin installed our tankless water heater in 2009 when we could get a federal tax rebate. He brought us all the tax paperwork and also told us how to get a rebate from our gas company, saving us around $1000 on the heater and installation. We never had problems with invoices, unlike a previous reviewer, probably because all of the service contractors we've ever worked with have expected to be paid upon completion of service. So no surprises there. He also has installed toilets and worked on our garbage disposal. The work was good -- and a great value. We've had home warranty policies and found that K2 Plumbing's service charge is $10-$15 cheaper than the service charges we had to pay with those policies. Overall, K2 plumbing provides great service and value.

I dreamed of hot water...
Thanks to a really cold winter, an 8yr old water heater that was too small to begin with and frustration at scheduling showers around water temperature, we decided it was time for a tankless unit. Of course we decided this days before Christmas and with only a little over a week to complete the job so we could qualify for the 2010 tax credit. We still managed time to do some research on what kind of unit we wanted and what kind of company we wanted to install it. After talking with 2 other plumbing companies we decided to go with Kevin at K2. His care and workmanship was evident throughout our install and we could not be happier with our purchase or with Kevin. Thanks!!

Good plumber, lousy businessman
Did a good job with plumbing repairs. Left invoices for payment, but then got very angry and nasty when didn't receive payment as promptly as he expected it (even though he never communicated it before, during, or after the job). So if you use the company, make sure to be very specific about payment arrangements. Apparently their version of leaving an invoice is not the standard practice of payment within 30 days but instead is an unspoken requirement for immediate payment.
