It's impossible to get through to customer service on the phone. I had to get 2 a/c units fixed via my home warranty company. The only way I could reach these guys is through the warranty company. They fixed 1 unit properly, but have still not fixed my other unit after 3 attempts. What's worse, my a/c unit now leaks water in large quantities in my basement. I would avoid this company. Also, looks like they couldn't care what reviews were provided for them since I have not seen a single good review recently and yet they have not changed anything at all! Go figure!

Arrived outside of scheduled time window, when I wasn't home. "Diagnosed" the problem without showing anyone anything. Will not call back to address my complaint. No answer during normal business hours (exactly 2:50 on a Thursday). After hours recording is on. Wish zero stars was an option. Stay away! Editing to add: After 6 days of no response to any of my messages, and no call regarding the status of my repair, I FINALLY got someone to answer the phone at the office. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he would call me back. Since their previous call backs were non-existent, I told her I could hold and she hung up on me. This is the type of service you get with this company! Still don't know if or when my AC will be fixed.

Cont....... because a young lady told me they were coming out on Saturday to repair my a/c. I'm frustrated of course and she told me I never spoke to anyone from their company and she's the only one that does the schedule at her company and don't get an attitude with her. The phone signal dies, she hung up the phone and never call me back. I get a text from them saying they're coming Monday. Now I'm mad and call AHS. who tells me that theres not another company that they can send; they try and get Piedmont on the phone with no luck. I told AHS that I was going to cxl the service as soon as my unit was repaired . After I get off the phone and look at all of the negative reviews from Piedmont, I get a call back from AHS. I told them you better belive I'll be canceling my service because they know what type of service Piedmont provides and hundreds of their customers have complained about the service and they still send the to people's homes to be lied to and treated poorly. I reminded AHS that I've been wiyh them for 9 yrs. She said that Piedmont had to work with us on this. Nothing was today on my a/c. Don't use either company.

I began having a leak in my air conditioning unit. Called my warranty company AHS. They scheduled me for a Friday, they showed up on a Thursday. They NEVER told me to leave the unit off. I argued with a woman on the phone who told me "if you don't calm down, I am going to call AHS and tell them to give you another vendor". Mind you, I had been without air for nearly a week, leaving it off and having no idea when someone would return. I had a right to be angry. Then she pretty much called me a liar, that I was told to leave it off. I have dogs in my home, two of which were very elderly and suffering. The second issue is that they NEVER call you back. The first time, I had left SIX messages and no return call. I had to call AHS to get them to call. Guy came out and said it was a drip pan, had a crack and that's why the water was leaking out. He would order the part and return to install it. A few days later, AHS calls me and says I needed a new evaporator coil and refridgerant. Total $1300! I almost fainted. Piedmont had no problem calling me back when it came time to schedule the $1300 worth of work. I called them back and said absolutely not! I called back and spoke to someone at AHS and asked them to send someone else. The lady at AHS also seemed confused as to what the final diagnosis was. They sent out Air Design. The man was here for an hour. He told me it was a drain clog and fixed it. Stay away from these rude scammers.

Otherwise, that's what they would get. Came out and diagnosed the problem on a Wed. Said the part would have to be ordered, but that someone would back out to install it on Fri or Sat at the latest. Weekend came and went with no calls from Piedmont. After a week of the "part isn't in yet" runaround and escalations with American Home Shield, finally got it fixed 10 days after their initial visit. And this was for a fan motor. Something I could have overnighted from Amazon. Well, today (several months later), I'm doing some cleaning near the unit, and I see some wires sticking out of the nearby storm drain. Lo and behold, it's my old fan motor. The tech had jammed it down there but it didn't quite fit. Great "disposal" process you have, Piedmont. Something tells me that isn't an approved EPA method.

Sent out by American Home Shield to fix air conditioner that was making loud hissing noise and was no longer blowing cool air into the house. It took several days and several phone calls before they came out. Finally, a young guy came out was on my property about five minutes then told me everything was fixed. I returned home from running errands the ac was STILL broken. Called back. He comes out again this time for even shorter time. Tells me my unit is shot. BUT submits a diagnosis to AHS that "nothing is wrong with the unit and no service is needed at this time." Still we're without air in a major heatwave. So AHS sends out a second opinion. This company says the compressor is shot and the fan motor. Basically the entire air conditioner except for a few coils. WELL that's a far cry different than the "nothing is wrong with your unit" diagnosis. We were scammed and robbed of our service fee. Doesn't seem like they really care about shoddy business practice. AHS keeps sending this company to customers. Makes me now question AHS keeping subpar contractors on their list. Do yourself a favor, don't hire these folks.

They are very sloppy. They replaced a coil in my HVAC unit but bent the exhaust duck to the furnace leaving a large gap. This would allow carbon monoxide to escape into the basement which happens to be just below my child's bedroom. If I did not double check their work, my child could have died this winter. Allowing people to be human, I wrote the owner an email with pictures assuming he would want to fix is ASAP. He never called, they just sent another unskilled tech out that said he could not fix it and told me someone would follow up. I wrote the email a week ago.

HORRIBLE COMPANY This company is ran by a group of trashy and uneducated cavemen who don't know the first thing about running a company, providing a reliable service or building customer loyalty. They were contracted by American Home Shield to address a problem we had with our AC unit and they miserably messed up the appointment, came unprepared and failed to fix or even identify the problem we were having. We called to reschedule and spoke to some third grade drop out with no class or understanding of how to move forward. We have complained to the highest levels of American Home Shield and are doing our very best to have this company removed from their list of contractors. If the illiterate barbarians that are running it now continue to do so, Piedmont will be out of business in no time.

Terrible service, they don't pick up the phone and don't return calls... they treat customers like morons... stay away from this company... they don't care about customer service and the experience has been extremely frustrating.

I was having trouble with my air conditioner and the Home Warranty Company sent them out. The first time they came out,i told them the unit seemed to be struggling. They serviced the unit or oiled the compressor and said everything was fine. Less than 30 days after that, my unit stopped working. I called Home Warranty back and complained. They sent them out again. This serviceman seemed more knowledgeable. He went up in the attic and told me what was causing the problem. He blew out the stopped drain. He then cleaned the unit and it has been working better and cooling much better since. He was much more thorough than the first serviceman that they sent.

(I would have given zero stars if I could). Home warranty company sent them. The techs don't seem to know much about HVAC and cause more damage than anything. I've been without AC for a month and today they didn't show--this was the fourth attempt at fixing my 2 year old AC that originally only needed freon. I am hot and I am furious. I have insisted AHS send me a new company as I refuse to let these incompetents on my property again. Don't let them near your AC; you will regret it.

This is the worst contractor I have ever experienced. They are unprofessional and lack the technical skills to resolve problems. I have had a problem with my central air conditioning unit and used Piedmont Mechanical, it took 45 days of dealing with them weekly, there have been over 5 service calls to my home. I have asked to speak to a supervisor or the owner for 2 weeks and was ignored. Now, the problem has still not been resolved and I have flooding in my bedroom ceiling and they have told me that is not their problem. I did not expect perfection, but I did expect accountability for completing the work and also for any damages that may have resulted from their negligence. I have interacted with at least 3 of their service tech, nice guys but can't fix a problem. They also do not work on your problem on consecutive days. They visited my home once a week for 5 weeks. I would NEVER use or recommend this company for the above reasons.

Unfortunately, they are contracted with American Home Shield (AHS) when my AC went out. If only I had choice before the dispatch to research. Glad to know I'm not the only one with issues. First thing that came to mind when I saw their rating was "Why does it not surprise me?" NEVER DO BUSINESS with them. They are making AHS look even worse. Terrible customer service. Missed appointment. Called AHS to get another subcontractor.
