We contacted Ryan Taylor of taylor 28 design because we wanted to renovate our kitchen. We were initially interested in this firm because of their claim to be the homeowners advocate and to see the project through to the end. After 4 or so months of planning, communication became hard with Ryan. It seemed as though he was always out of town. The planning stage became drawn out (pun intended!) and came to a virtual stand still. Our last attempt to contact Ryan was sent in an email one month after our previous communication and we received no response at all. Also, in the time we had worked together (5-6 months including the time at the end when we did not hear from him at all) we had asked him for an invoice repeatedly (he told us initially that he would bill us monthly) and never received one. To our bewilderment, we received a phone call from Ryan 5 months after our last attempt to contact him! He wanted to know if we had received the plans and invoice he had sent-which we hadn't and at that point clearly wondered if he had ever sent them. We ended up paying him for his time. Although I am very confident in his technical abilities, I am deeply disappointed in this experience. Not sure if he just became uninterested in our job, tried to manage too many other jobs, or what, but the customer care was awful. I would not recommend using this firm.
