About me:
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree from Georgia State University with 16 years experience. I'm a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and the Psychotherapy Guild. I served on the board of directors for LPCA and the Southern Regional Committee of AAP. I taught graduate students in the counseling program at Argosy University.
My experience includes working in the juvenile court system, a county mental health center, a drug and alcohol recovery treatment center, and a psychiatric hospital. I now work in private practice.
Typical clients come to improve their lives in many different areas including relationships of all kinds, overcoming addictions, mid-life issues, to be better athletes, end of life issues, learning to cope better with any of life's difficulties such as illness, finding meaning in life, transitions and decision making. I see people in all phases of their relationships from pre-commitment to divorce and beyond.
I can work with you individually, as a couple, or a family, or in a group, business or organization. I?m also an excellent public speaker. I'm available to speak on many subjects including: relationships, communication skills, the psychology of money, business enhancement, spirituality, addictions, codependency and sports enhancement.
I have an easy going, down to earth, humorous, approach to life's most difficult questions and my passion for teaching and healing will inspire you to open your heart and mind to a different way of seeing the world.

May I offer a tip on searching for a good therapist? Ask how much therapy they've had. If they haven't had any, move on to the next therapist. A good therapist will gladly answer your question for they believe as I do that no one can really help you if they haven't learned to be helped. And if you're looking for specific help, ask if they have experience with that issue.
