Best Membership in Atlanta!
We are members at Zoo Atlanta going on two years now. This is by far the best membership for your money. (We are members at other area attractions, too.) My little girl has enjoyed going to the zoo since she was six months old, and her cousins love to go when they visit from out of state. I highly recommend getting an annual membership that allows you to take guests. It is worth every penny. Another thing: Parking is free, too! (Not like at the aquarium or the children's museum.) We love the zoo!

Great Zoo
This is a great zoo. We love to visit zoos in every city we visit. It has some of the usual animals but also local interest ones. Of course warm in late June. Great gift shops too. We went to see the pandas.

Mommy and Me at the Zoo
We love the zoo and are annual members! My son loves the playground and he can always get an uninhibited view of the Gorillas and Giraffe's and (when they are out) the Elephants. Its not too big and its tucked away in the greated neighborhood it Atlanta.
We recently signed up for the Mommy and Me activity, which is 1 hour a week for 3 weeks. Sadly its been disappointing. My 2 1/2 year old was bored and only at the end of the hour did the kids get to see and touch a live animal. I didn't pay $40 (its more expensive for non-members) for us to play with toys or do arts and crafts, or walk around the zoo and see animals we can see normally. I was hoping for a little more interaction.
Not worth the money - enjoy the zoo on your own.

Wonderful for Kids
Zoo Atlanta is not very large as zoos go but it has a lot of animals to see. Everyone was very friendly and the keepers would come out and talk to us about the animals. They even had story times at some of the exhibits and would read stories about those animals and then talk about then. Parking was plentiful and there was lots of shade. I loved the baby panda and the warthogs. I also love that you could take in your own food and drinks.

Not just about animals
Attended an event at the venue and it was very well done. Easy parking & access, pleasant surroundings, great facility. I'm not into zoos, so it didn't bother me that it didn't really seem like a zoo.

Don't waste your time
It's small, limited animals and very expensive. The worst I've been to. Pandas are big attraction and that's okay but not worth the ticket price.

Well done
Interesting place to visit. Small children enjoy the petting zoo. The exhibits are nicely done and the animals appear to be well taken care of.

Fun and Educational
As someone who remembers the sad state of the zoo in the 60's, I can say that visiting the Atlanta Zoo is a fun and educational experience. See animals in their natural environments, and just stroll around enjoying being outside and watching kids' excitement. The zoo also offers many educational programs worth checking into.

Nice Zoo
The free parking is nice, if you don't have to park on the street. Great zoo, all the animals kids love too see, and petting zoo was nice. The gift shops are great. I think overall it's a great zoo for children, the only negative is that the admission and food is overpricedI would go once a year
