The High is one the best cultural experiences in Atlanta
Being a native Atlantan, it is nice to see such a great
representation of our cultural growth over the years!
The High is an Art Piece in itself and has great
exhibits that my whole family can enjoy!

student=second class citizen
I purchased the student ticket to the museum for 15$, not a bad price but not a good discount either. The ticket person told me that i could see all of the exhibits. I walked through one wing of the museum and on the 3rd floor i was not allowed into a "members only" area. Ok, no big deal. I finished viewing that wing and tried to move on to the next. I wasn't even allowed into the next wing!!! Again members only! What did i pay for? I was so disgusted that i left without even attempting the 3rd wing. There are no signs that i saw stating that certain areas are members only, or signs at the ticket counter stating that whole collections would not be accessible with a regular student ticket. It was embarrassing to walk through a revolving door and be told by a staff member that you aren't allowed in and must go back out immediately. I felt deceived and cheated.

WOW
I took 7 children to the High last year during a Family event they had that a friend gave me tickets to. We all loved it. One would think it wouldn't be easy to keep children interested in the Louvre exhibit, but they high did. They loved walking around looking at fancy stuff from elsewhere. Beautiful things we don't often get to see. They especially enjoyed walking around with headphones listening and trying to follow along with all of the people there. I am glad the High and my friend Caroline helped us have this once in a lifetime experience.

First-rate Art Museum
The permanent collections at The High are impressive, especially the modern art, for which they just built a new wing. If that weren't enough, The High always has interesting visiting collections from famous Impressionists to Michelangelo's sketches, to the current visiting exhibit, which comes from an ongoing exchange with the Louvre in Paris. A great (air-conditioned) adventure for a summer day!

Always fascinating
A great place to be a member because you get the advance notices on displays. Parking is a hassle but lots near are much easier and the same price. The special presentations, especially the Impressionists are amazing!

Lots of Modern Art
The High Museum is lots of fun and has great displays of modern art. However, they alsoget great travling exhibits that have really cool old art. Just last year they had a traveling Louve exhibit that I went to see, and it was fantastic.

great art
The High Museum is a great Art museum. There are all kinds of displays, some permanent, and some that change periodically. There is art from well known artists, as well as lesser known artists.
