An Excellent Job by Chastain Wood Floors
I recently hired Chastain to refinish my 50 year old floors in my Brookhaven home. I also had my old floor grates removed. My floors had lots of 'gaps' in them. Chastain took the time to putty them all up. The newly refinished floors look great, the gaps are barely noticeable, and you can't even see where the grates where now ! If you have older wooden floors, I highly recommend Chastain to give them 'new life' !

Highly Recommend
My old, beat-up hardwood floors have been transformed into beautiful, like-new condition thanks to Chastain Wood Floors (and these floors have been through a lot since this 1951 Brookhaven home was built!) The crew carefully moved all the furniture before tearing up the carpeting. And they did a fantastic job of patching in a HVAC vent so that it isn't even noticeable. The dustless system they use was an important aspect for me due to my concern for my 2 cats. And they were willing to refinish my floors 1 room at a time- that was all I can afford right now. Thanks guys! Great job! I plan to have you back for more work this summer.

Beautiful new floor 1/16 inch below old ugly floor
I have a small home in Buckhead with 70 year old hardwood floors that were in terrible condition. A friend recommended Chastain Wood Floors and I gave them a call. They came out and looked over my floors. They didn't hype or oversell, they talked straight about the condition of my floors and what I could expect. They emailed a job estimate within a few days defining what they would do, and it was reasonable. The work went well, they showed up when they said they would, which I REALLY appreciated. They removed tile from a front entry area and wove new hardwood into the existing floor. They removed linoleum from the kitchen, leveled the subfloor and installed new oak floors. Then they sanded all the floors, sampled stains for me to choose and finished with 3 coats of poly. One thing that was "above and beyond" bears mentioning. One afternoon, the crew arrived right on time to apply a second coat of poly. They ended up waiting almost 5 hours till the plumbers and appliance people were finished and worked late into the evening to keep my remodel on schedule. And they didn't complain or make me feel bad about it. Our new floors and refinished old floors look great. I find myself looking at my floors all the time. I never knew such beautiful floors were already in my house, 1/16th of an inch below the surface, waiting to be revealed. My only regret is that I didn't do this 25 years ago when I bought the house.

Very Pleased
Chastain Wood Floors took on a hardwood floor repair project for us that no one else was willing to take. They provided very prompt service and did a great job. I was pleased that Jerry, the owner, was interested in recycling an old board from beneath our house for the job. The repair looks great - I'll certainly call on them again.

Very impressed w/ workmanship and customer service
Jerry did a great job and provided excellent customer service. He removed 40-year-old carpet from the upstairs bedrooms, restored the hardwoods underneath, and blended them with the hardwoods in the upstairs hallway, stairs and lower floors. He always returned my calls and alerted me to problems (i.e., an upslope in the floor at the end of one of the bedrooms). He also went the extra mile by painting the risers on the stairs when I noticed some scratches (which may or may not have been his doing). Jerry showed himself to be a true craftsman and, unlike a lot of these guys, he was actually on his knees doing the work (along with his helper), not supervising. I'm a new homeowner, but I've already dealt with enough service providers to tell that Jerry's level of professionalism and customer service was exceptional. I only wish he did tile work as well, but all he does is hardwoods--and it shows.

Great Hardwood Floor Company
Chastain Wood Floors has done a wonderful job for me three different times! The first time they came I had carpet in two bedrooms that I was tired of and wanted the hardwoods under the carpet refinished. When I purchased my home 4 years ago the floor refinisher pulled up the carpet and said pet stains were too severe and there was no choice but to reinstall carpet. Chastain Wood Floors did an excellent job replacing the pet stained boards at a very reasonable price and I would never want carpet over them again. The other bedroom had strange small stains over most of the room. We decided to stain this floor and double stain where the spotting was not to blend in where the stains were. No one would every know...it looks great. Chastain took great care to get it right the first time. They have since come back two additional times to install hardwoods in my office and in my sunroom. They are professional, clean (not much dust), and courteous. Oh, and at a very reasonable price. I would only call them for all my hardwood flooring needs. Fantastic Job
Jerry did a great job on our hardwood floors. He exceeded expectations in (i) price, (ii) quality and (iii) service. Of all the quotes we got he was the only one who listened to and gave us exactly what we were looking for. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Timely and Trustworthy
Chastain Wood Floors (Jerry & Crew) refinished our wood floors recently, which included a light sanding, some staining, filling, and 2 coats of poly. They spent extra time on some of the bad spots at no extra charge and the floors look great. They finished when they said they would and were very pleasant to work with. We would certainly recommend them.

Personal Service - Professional Quality
Mr.Hadden and his assistant installed hardwood flooring in our dining and living rooms, den, a hallway, and a set of stairs w/landing last year. Beautiful! He is knowledgeable and has sound judgement and good recommendations. He is meticulous, punctual, professional, and takes great pride in his work. The job is not finished until the customer is satisfied. And, he's a very nice man.

Outstanding job!
Jerry Hadden did a fabulous job at our house on 1829 Wildwood Place in Morningside. He installed new wood floors and refinished existing ones. The end result is one beautiful seamless wood floor, all the same color and wood quality and perfectly smooth. Jerry is very detail-oriented - he sanded all the floors several times, filled in hairline cracks and blemishes, and applied polyurethane until the result was just perfect. He also took good care of other details, like drilling holes for our DSL cabling and levelling the entrances into still-carpeted areas. Jerry is a friendly, thoughtful person and a very hard worker. He worked long days, and even came in on weekends so that the job would be completed quicker. He also was very careful with our furniture and even came back to help us move the big pieces back in - after his job was officially done. Jerry surrounds himself with very polite and hardworking helpers, not the kind you are afraid to have in your house. We recommend Chastain Wood Floors with all our heart: they did the best job ever, better than any other hardwood installers we in our previous houses.
