Chastain Wood Floors

These guys just finished my floors a couple of weeks ago and they are gorgeous. They worked every day, even through the weekend, to get our job done. They were very meticulous - I highly recommend them.

Jerry and his team did a fantastic job on our hardwood floors and staircase. They were originally done by someone else who had not put down enough sealer. Jerry did a great job filling the holes and cracks and the floors are beautiful. Very dependable service.

Chastain Wood Floors recently completed an entire refinishing of my Buckhead home. I was very particular about the quality and look of my home. I could not be more pleased with the level of professionalism and care Chastain Wood Floors took with my floors. I was consulted along the way and even was shown several samples before I made the final decision on the final product. They were thorough and I could not be happier. Highly recommended!

Seriously, in a 1957 home with a prior family of 6, it looked like the floors had never been refinished. The nails straight into the floors in an effort to reduce noise made most companies tell us we'd have to rip them up and start all over (no way!) or rip up the sections with nails and try to match them (good luck!).
Jerry was the only company who gave us up-front estimates and honest feedback of what he could do. He ended up being the least expensive and if I knew how amazing the hardwoods were going to turn out, I'd have paid more! He owns the company and does all his own work with an assistant, so their attention to detail is superb. Even when I said they didn't have to do inside the closets, they still did, cleaning up everything along the way. Such personal service with attention to detail is rarely found in this day and age. Jerry also allowed up multiple stains so we could make a decision and gave us honest opinions, regardless of what stains he had in stock. Absolutely a high-class operation I'd recommend to anyone, so you can e-mail me if you want before and after pictures!

This company not only provides a quality product, they also do it for a very reasonable price. The workmen were at our house on time each morning. The work was done exactly as described and finished on time. I could recommend this company to anyone.

I am very pleased with Jerry of Chastain Woods Floors. Performed a beautiful and professional job. Kept the work area extremely clean. He was always on time and consistently trying to please. If you need help with your floors, this is the guy to call.

Jerry and crew at Chastain Wood Floors installed new flooring in our bedroom last year. We were so pleased that we asked him to refinish the rest of our wood floors while we were out of town so that we wouldn't have to worry about being out of the house while they put down three coats of polyurethane. They did a fantastic job, and our house was ready for us when we came back from vacation. There aren't many folks you could trust your house to while you are out of town, and Jerry did a great job.

I recently hired Chastain to refinish my 50 year old floors in my Brookhaven home. I also had my old floor grates removed. My floors had lots of 'gaps' in them. Chastain took the time to putty them all up. The newly refinished floors look great, the gaps are barely noticeable, and you can't even see where the grates where now ! If you have older wooden floors, I highly recommend Chastain to give them 'new life' !

My old, beat-up hardwood floors have been transformed into beautiful, like-new condition thanks to Chastain Wood Floors (and these floors have been through a lot since this 1951 Brookhaven home was built!) The crew carefully moved all the furniture before tearing up the carpeting. And they did a fantastic job of patching in a HVAC vent so that it isn't even noticeable. The dustless system they use was an important aspect for me due to my concern for my 2 cats. And they were willing to refinish my floors 1 room at a time- that was all I can afford right now. Thanks guys! Great job! I plan to have you back for more work this summer.

I have a small home in Buckhead with 70 year old hardwood floors that were in terrible condition. A friend recommended Chastain Wood Floors and I gave them a call. They came out and looked over my floors. They didn't hype or oversell, they talked straight about the condition of my floors and what I could expect. They emailed a job estimate within a few days defining what they would do, and it was reasonable.

The work went well, they showed up when they said they would, which I REALLY appreciated. They removed tile from a front entry area and wove new hardwood into the existing floor. They removed linoleum from the kitchen, leveled the subfloor and installed new oak floors. Then they sanded all the floors, sampled stains for me to choose and finished with 3 coats of poly. One thing that was "above and beyond" bears mentioning. One afternoon, the crew arrived right on time to apply a second coat of poly. They ended up waiting almost 5 hours till the plumbers and appliance people were finished and worked late into the evening to keep my remodel on schedule. And they didn't complain or make me feel bad about it.

Our new floors and refinished old floors look great. I find myself looking at my floors all the time. I never knew such beautiful floors were already in my house, 1/16th of an inch below the surface, waiting to be revealed. My only regret is that I didn't do this 25 years ago when I bought the house.
