Matthew's Tree Service & Landscaping

Matthew's removed some pines that were leaning toward or hanging over the house. Access was limited because of our fence and gate but they took care of the trees that risked falling on the house without a problem. I came home from work on the day that they said they'd be there and the trees were gone with the work area cleaned up nicely. Good work and reasonalbe quote on a job that I'd consider challenging.

Matthew came out to my house on a Sunday afternoon and did an estimate. He gave me a very fair and competitive price and had the work done in a day. The whole crew did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone!

We hired Matthew to remove a very large oak (47") that had been dropping limbs and causing roof damage to my mom's house. Matthew's personal manner and knowledge assured my elderly mother that the tree was hazardous and should be removed. Also, Matthew's senior citizen discount brought his estimate many hundreds under the others. Matthew and Crew really hustle. Their operation is coordinated and highly skilled. I will definitely hire Matthew and Crew for my next tree service.

I was in a jam due to tree roots that severed the main sewage line at my rental. I had the plumbers out with the backhoe digging up the pipe when they realized we would need to remove the 25 foot maple. I called and Matthew, the owner got his crew out there and removed the tree within two hours. Matthew even came out to check on the job to make sure his guys did the job well. I was also pleasantly surprised with the very low price!!!!!!! Thank you!

they were prompt, courteous, professional and thorough. they had the equipment, personnel and expertise to do a difficult job in one short trip, saving a lot of headaches. experience and competence matters.

Matthew came to look at my down tree as soon as he could from the ATL flooding. He was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. He showed me exactly why the tree came down and looked at my neighbor's tree that was hit when mine came down. There was no pressure to take down other trees, just a honest opinion about what I would need to think about in the future. His crew was able to come out right away. We had a tree near the house struck by lightning that split and then fell into the yard, power lines and road. I called Matthews and the owner came out within a few hours to provide a detailed quote. When their crew arrived they got right to work cleaning up limbs and branches while the heavy duty equipment was getting into place. The crew completed precision work around power lines and protected my house from damage, they were focused on safety! The team at Matthews is friendly, professional they know their business.

Our 90 foot water oak that’s about 20 feet from our house was hit by lightning last week. I was at work so I missed the big event but my neighbors told me they heard a huge bang. Matthew’s Tree Service crew did a fantastic job with the tree removal. This huge tree was totally cracked down the middle with the bark blown off making this dangerous to remove. In addition, the tree had grown toward the house, which meant that most of the branches were right over the roof. This made the removal tougher since they had to avoid damaging the roof as well as keep the cracked tree together in one piece while they took of the limbs. These guys are totally professional. The crew got here at 7:15 and each and every one of them worked non-stop until 12:30pm. They got the job done and they cleaned up the sawdust, blew off the roof, the deck, the pathways, the carport and the driveway. They were all very courteous and respectful. Their price was reasonable and they really know what they’re doing. I’ve already recommended them to my friend at work and am planning to get them out here again to do some more work. Great service—I give them the highest recommendation.

•Tore down our 20 ft wooden gate
•First told us he would have it repaired
•Told us later we had to pay for damages to the gate
•Justified not paying for damages by telling us he
Did minor things for FREE
•Trimmed one set of hedges in front and on top, but not in back
•Took most of his men to another site @ noon
•Two men sat under the trees for 3+ hours
•Filled in our sink hole with soil containing 99.9% wood debris
•Charged over $4,000 for his “work”


I would very much like to know if his employees or relatives posted all the positive comments---I am not easily conned but, unfortunately, I trusted him the first time he came to give us an estimate. I TRULY regret having hired him and will NEVER use him again, nor any of his “repair” men.

The business described by all these reviews was NOT the business I dealt with.

Professionalism. Visited May 2008 and gave expert recommendations as to several dead or diseased trees that need to be removed, those that needed trimming, and those that were healthy. Showed up with the crew about 3 days later (early) and by 10:30, had removed about 7 trees, chipped everything, and absolutely no damage to landscaping or the yard. Just a great job.
