Customer for Life!!
I pulled these guys off of Kudzu, and I'm so glad I did. They were extremely professional and fast than I could ever expect.
I called the day before I took it in to let them know it would be towed to them. It was towed the next morning and by the time I called them, the car was ready to go!!
Great prices, best service ever.
I'm a customer for life.

Great service, convieient, and priced right
My BMW had the Check Engine light come on. The local dealer could not see it for over a week. I checked Kudzu to see if there were any recommended service places that worked on BMW's and saw that J&L was highly recommended. They had me bring my car in that day and were able to fix the Cam Sensor that day.

NOT a Happy (Ex-) Customer!
As a small business owner myself, I'm extremely aware of the value of communication & service. Unfortunately, my first tip should have been when I emailed this company twice (per their website)to ask for info & rates, yet, never got a return call or response. After talking to the Owner in person & reading their reviews on Kudzu, I decided to go ahead & trust them with my repair. 3 weeks in the garage & $2600 later, my car left me stranded with a countless number of electrical problems still not fixed. Another 3 weeks back at the shop, no calls, no updates or follow up from the owner, I stopped by unexpectedly only to find my car had been taken to another garage down the street without my knowledge or permission, still not running. 6 weeks into it and I'm still not driving. Nice enough folks at J&L, but if you only want lip service & promises of what they're going to do, or if you've got an endless amount of time to wait and you don't care if they ever call and give you a status report, then, J&L's the place to have your auto "worked" on!

Local's Best
I just bought a BMW (used), but it needed brake/oil service and computer reset. I called 4 BMW dealers; all of them didn't return my calls. I also called non-dealer shops, but they're far-far away. My wife handed me a J&L flyer and decided to give it a try. They spent time patiently on explaining to me what needs to be done with the car & the costs. They did a good job overall, I'm happy with their service. I'm so relieved that I can trust a local shop for my BMW.

Tried to be patient
My wife called J&L because they are local (we like to patronize local businesses) and they were well reviewed on Kudzu. Went in because the check engine light was on. I got a call back, there was a problem with a valve or sensor. I asked him to add an oil change and go ahead with the work.
I was called and told that my car was ready. When I showed up (getting dropped there by a friend), the car hadn't been started. I waited over an hour. During this time I tried to pay. What an adventure this turned out to be. Paid with my debit card and there was some malfnction where it didn't get charged correctly or didn't go through and wasn't correct on their system, or something. Charge was reversed and corrected, but then I couldn't use the same card. I ended up having to put it on a credit card I really didn't want to use, but at this point just wanted to leave. Next day, both charges show up. I returned to the shop and waited again to try and get it fixed. i thoughht maybe there was a hold on the debit or reversal, so I went by the credit union and had them check that first. Finally got that straight, and 1 month later the charge shows up on my statement again, because it was reversed twice.
They were very nice about it, with many apologies, but for a first time customer, I am not sure it is worth all of the hassles I had to go through to get one valve replaced. I have 4 cars at home, and I am still looking for a good, local repair shop. Nice folks, just too much drama for me.

A Happy Surprise
My local Infiniti dealer said it would cost $650 to fix my electronic door keys. I called J&L for a second opinion and John told me to stop by so he could look at the problem. He had the electronic door keys working within 5 minutes. Then he wouldn't bill me for fixing such a little thing. His customer service attitude made a friend for J&L and is a great find for my future repair needs.

Our new mechanics
Our family was recently and unexpectedly in the market for a used car. We arranged to have a couple inspected at J&L. The service was great as they were ready for the vehicles at the appointed time, performed a very detailed evaluation of the cars and gave an honest opinion on the quality of vehicle. They helped us pick the right car and have earned our business moving forward.

My company trucks also!
I not only take all my family vehciles to J&L, As owner of my small buisness J&L keeps my company trucks on the road. John the owner, makes a plan of maintenance for the year so I can budget and keep my trucks running. When an employee of mine has a problem with a company truck, I do not hesitate to send them to J & L. It is nice with our busy lives to not worry about our vehicles being broke or out of service long. Thanks J & L for your outstanding mechanic shop.

Above and beyond...
We moved to Georgia 3 years ago and with 2 kids in college, each with their own car, we undoubtedly had to find a good mechanic and were hoping to find one we could trust. We've had our vehicles serviced by J & L on several occasions and have always been impressed with the service and confident that we're getting a good deal. There are never any surprises when you get the bill.

Most recently, my daughter's car broke down in Athens. Rather than risking having it serviced by someone in Athens we didn't know, we chose to have it towed to J&L (47 miles one way). Rather than go into the details, I will just say that John Bounamia truly went out of his way to help us out. I'm glad we didn't risk having it repaired in Athens.
