Dr. Kenneth Neufeld
What I thought was a small sty on my left lower eyelid was diagnosed by Dr. Kenneth Neufeld as a basal cell carcinoma. He then referred me to a dermatologic surgeon for removal of the skin cancer using the Mohs technique. Much to my dismay, most of my eyelid had to be removed due to the significant root system of the cancer. The day following the Mohs technique, Dr. Neufeld performed reconstructive surgery using skin transplanted from behind my ear to restore my eyelid. I was humbled by the remarkable results and in less than three weeks people were unable to notice any difference between my eyelids. Today, my eyelid looks as though I never had surgery.
Although I have noticed many complaints on this site regarding long waits and I too have experienced long delays in being seen, as a Ph.D. psychologist, I understand the many unanticipated circumstances that can arise necessitating physicians to extend time with patients. And for me, I would rather not be seen on time than to feel rushed when it is my time.
For my six appointments, I always felt that my time with Dr. Neufeld was personal, productive, and adequate. Furthermore, he always asked if I had any questions and/or concerns. So while you may not be seen on time, rest assured that you will obtain the same high quality of care that the patient preceding you received.
