Lori Schaen MD

Dr. Schaen is the best dermatologist I have ever seen. I wish I was referred to her 15+ years ago. I would have saved so much time (and frustration) and my skin would never have gotten to this point. I was referred to Dr. Schaen by a friend and I made the 1 1/2 hour drive because she was honestly my last resort. When I got there, I was greeted by a friendly staff who brought me straight to my room. Dr. Schaen came in and spent a lot of time explaining my condition, the courses of treatment, realistic results, etc. I left there with the biggest smile on my face because I finally felt like there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Schaen has been a godsend to me. My skin is so much better and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Schaen is the best at what she does. Look no further, you won't be sorry!

I do not like this practice or this Doctor. She just wanted to keep me coming back over and over. Kept stringing me along. Her front office girl is VERY rude and disrepectful.

I had my first visit to see Dr. Schaen a few weeks ago and have a followup in a couple more. I have rosacea and had been treated by a different doctor here in Atlanta. Rosacea can be very upsetting and frustrating to deal with. Dr. Schaen listened to me very patiently (I had a lot of stuff I needed to share) and gave me a plan to follow that was personally tailored, no cookie cutter treatments here. I learned more from her in one appointment than from my other doctor after a couple of years. Her recommendations resulted in noticeable improvement. It's rare to find this level of service anywhere and it bestows a most welcome peace of mind. The entire staff was nothing but gracious and helpful. I'm thrilled to have found this practice.

My husband is also a local physician, and this is where he sends his patients! The staff is warm and professional, and Dr. Schaen is magnificent!

I went to see a dermatologist for several warts on my hands. I had a severe reaction with pain and swelling.
My calls to the office were ignored and I was unable to speak to the doctor. My friend said I should go see her dermatologist, Dr Stephen Kurtin, who would help me. It was already in the early evening and I was really suffering. My friend, who has a lot more gumption than me, said that maybe his home number was listed.
It was and she called. He seemed very friendly and asked to speak to me directly. He listened to my horrible experience, asked a few questions and then advised me what to do until I could be seen. He was very reassuring and it made me feel better. The treatment he recommended over the phone was immediately helpful. He insisted that I be seen the following day. However, he was not going to be in the office, Dunwoody Dermatology, that day but his associate, Dr Lori Schaen would be. When I called the office, I learned that Dr Kurtin had called and told the receptionist that I had to be seen that day and was immediately given an appointment. I knew I was in good hands when I met Dr Schaen, who seemed shocked that the original dermatologist had not responded to my calls. She added an antibiotic and a cream and I responded very quickly. I received a call 2 days later from a nurse to check on me.

Dr. Schaen is a great doctor. She is personable, professional and warm. I have better looking skin because of her, and I'm happier with my appearance. It's been a few years, and I still continue to see her. Her staff is professional and courteous. Her office is neat, clean and up to date. In comparison to my former dermatologist, her prices were and are much more reasonable. I highly recommend her.

I have been to atleast 15 dermatologists in the Atlanta area over the last 10 years and Dr. Schaen is considerably THE BEST! Her attentiveness to my skin issues has been great! She prescribes things specifically for your skin and is not cookie cutter like many doctors that I have been to. Plus, I get so many compliments on my skin now and that is another testament to her great work.

I went to see Dr. Schaen after hearing so many great things about her and the office. I have been a medical professional for 20 years and this office (from the receptionist to the nurses to Dr. Schaen) is very professional -yet personal and caring. My appointment was for my annual skin cancer screening. I only had to wait
about 10 minutes to be taken back, the nurse took a very thourough history and Dr. Schaen did a head-to-toe skin exam. I had to have 2 biopsies. The nurse was very caring and took her time with me. Dr. Schaen explained exactly what she was doing to me. (I also received my biopsy results promptly). The check in and check out girls were efficient, polite and personalble. I will continue to recommend this office to all my friends and colleagues. I'll see you all next year! WHAT A PLEASURE!!

Dr. Schoen has treated me, my husband, my staff and my patients. She is kind and unhurried and very thorough. As a physician, I particularly appreciate her attention and interest in non-aesthetic dermatology.

I've been to at least a dozen dermatologists and have found Dr. Schaen and her staff to be the best of the best. I highly recommend her.
