Pet Rescuer loves Dearborn
I recently rescued a Terrier/Blue Heeler Mix from Atlanta Pet Rescue (great folks too!). I was running late on a friday and just happened into the office for a quick check to see that Trinity was in good shape. The staff were AMAZING. They apologized to ME for being busy and me having to wait about 30 minutes. Dr Ellington is the best vet I've ever seen. She took extra time to check out my new pup and even gave me feeding and medication suggestions. She gave me a free sample heart worm pill since Trinity's weight was right on the line for a stronger heart worm pill, she just asked me to bring her back in 6 weeks for a weight check to be sure we had her on the right dose. I got generic antibiotics for her kennel cough. Trinity even got her nails clipped and her anal glands expressed. The best part.since she was a rescue, the only charge was for the meds, no office visit fee as a Thank You to ME for rescuing her. These folks are great!

Most compassionate and very inexpensive
This is a great animal hospital! I love the Doctors and the techs. Everyone is informative and assists me on how to get the best care for my budget. My income has been strained lately and they provide generic perscriptions which has helped a lot with my flea and heartworm prevention. They don't require unecessary testing like corporate places like VCA/ Pets are People Too or Banfield. Most of all, they are warm and welcoming and make my animal feel as comfortable as possible. You can tell that their entire staff really cares about the animals.

They really care!!
I heard about Dearborn from a friend and have been taking our 3 dogs there for the past year. They take the time to answer your questions truthfully and don't try to sell you anything you don't need!! In fact, they will tell you what you don't need. They only do walk-ins on Saturdays, so get there early!!

Dr. Ellington in wonderful
My 16 year old cat was on his last day & my usual vet was not available. I heard good things about Dr. Ellington & called & went in. She was kind, intelligent and compassionate. I will continue to take all my pets there. Highly recommend them.

Best Private Practice Vets Around
What can I say--Dearborn Animal Hospital has taken care of my pets for 20+ years. I went there initially because it was convenient to my home and I knew others who took pets there. Now, we drive in to Dearborn from Gwinnett County so that they can continue to take care of our menagerie (currently 3 dogs, 5 cats). I simply cannot say enough about the compassion the vets and staff have shown over the years for all of my pets (as well as for their human caregivers). Drs. Jackson, Cely and Ellington have always taken time with each of my animals to give them the attention they needed to feel comfortable during treatment or examination. I've always gotten honest and thoughtful answers to my questions and concerns and they have been able to help us manage care for difficult ongoing conditions as well as the inevitable end-of-life care. I would not even consider changing vets!

Budget friendly - pet friendly
I took my new dog in yesterday and the vet was super sweet and caring with her. It made me wonder if I wasn't spoiling my dog enough, which goes to show how much the vets at Dearborn love their work and their patients. They squeezed me in as a walk-in and although they were short-handed that day, the vet answered all my new dog owner questions and we even chatted about family. It was almost closing time but she told her aide to tell a distressed dog owner (who was in tears on the phone) to bring her emergency case dog to the hospital. I thought she was going to route the caller to an after hr. emergency clinic, but she was clearly concerned about the caller and her dog. Wow! The office is dusty and retro and our room had lots of knick-knacks (my fave - a troll surgeon doll with scrubs), but I can't imagine it any other way because what stands out is the genuine caring of the doctors and staff. This is the real deal!

Old School Vets -- True Professionals
The vets at Dearborn are extremely warm and caring. Dr. Bruce Jackson owns the place, and he is one of my all-time favorite vets. He's very calm, very approachable, and always gives you a seasoned opinion. Dr. Ellington is also wonderful too. Their rates are more than competitive, especialy since they do not take AMEX. And I have never found the people at the front desk to be rude. I have experienced them to be direct, but never rude in tone or substance. This is indeed how I would run a business.

Decent Vet
I've taken my cats to this vet because it is very close to my house. The hours are not convenient. The receptionist isn't always friendly. They get the job done, but no warm fuzzies here.
