Platinum Carpet Systems

These guys were awesome! We were renting a pretty large home with white carpets (go figure) and the landlord was being very unreasonable about our security deposit, so we wanted to do everything possible to protect our money. That included steam cleaning the white carpets.

I called Platinum Carpet Systems because of their great reviews but mostly because they were one of only 2 companies on here that were IICRC certified. The rates were much lower than Stanley's rip off rates. They were extremely professional and accommodating. We even had to call and change our appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time and they were totally cool about it.

On the day of the cleaning, they arrived early, very professional and knowledgeable. The price was exactly what we were quoted. No pushy sales tactics. The carpets honestly looked new after they were finished. And best of all, we got out FULL security deposit back and she wanted the number to Platinum!

Overall, Sean and Steven were very quick and personable. The pet urine odor and stains I had are gone. My ratings are low b/c I specifically asked about removing a stain that occurred under my couch due to a coffee spill. I had moved the couch out of the way to show them. When I went to check the work, they had move the couch back over the stain but I was told it came right up. I moved the couch tonight to make room for new furniture. Well, the stain is still there. This is not the kind of service I expected for the $400 I paid. This is very dishonest. I will be calling 11/18 to see how they are going to fix this.

Thanks guys! Robert&Adam did a better job than the two other companies I've used before. Seriously the carpeting has never looked this good ~even my 20yr+ old carpet in one of the rooms is not embarrasing any more. I will definately call your company in the future. Based on other recommendations on Kudzu.com, I called on Platinum Carpet Systems to assist me on the day of the September 2009 flood in metro Atlanta. Will & Steven promptly came out and removed water left behind on the 1st floor of my home. Their professional work ethic and warm personalites helped alleviate a traumatic experience. Very professional company. The steam cleaning worked much better on very dirty carpets than other cleaners. The price quoted was the price paid, no add-ons, no hassles. Plainum is not like the other companies at all. You will be pleased.

Pros- Showed up, friendly, affordable.
Cons- The major reason I am disappointed is because they did not entirely clean areas next to walls or furniture. Basically, they would leave a good portion of the area dry instead of moving the machine to cover the area. Before they arrived, I made sure the floors were spotless so this would not be an issue. For example, let's say you have a dresser about 3 feet from a window. The area between the window and dresser would take about 3 movements with a vacuum to clean the entire area. They would do one stroke down the middle of the area instead of cleaning the entire area. This means the part next to the window and dresser were dry. There was also a stain next to the crib about 4 inches from the crib. During the walk through upstairs, I noticed the stain was still dry as was the area around it leading up to the crib. I told them about the stain. They were downstairs and did not come upstairs. They told me it must have been juice because it wouldn't come up. It was dry! You could see where the brush strokes ended. I regretfully did not call the lady who said to call her if there was an issue. I just don't want to be a whiny person and call and complain. With that being said, the reason I am leaving the review is because I do feel I shouldn't have to tell them to clean up to the furniture or walls. Their stuff was already in the vehicle, I just wasn't going to complain at that point since I got a good deal.

I have used Platinum Carpet service several times over the past 2 years and am thoroughly pleased with their service. The guys are great and the carpets look like new when complete. Ramona is always a pleasure to speak with on the phone. Prices are competitive. Overall, very satisfied and would highly recommend them.

After my 1st experience with flooding, I had lots of questions. I appreciated the time & attention that was given to them. The service from everyone I dealt with at Platinum, especially Will the owner, was great. Professional, courteous, friendly and responsible. I withheld 5 stars only because I felt the cleaning itself could have been more thorough and less rushed. Otherwise, great job.
