An amazing teacher
When I came to Chris a few months ago, I thought I knew what I was doing. I can copy a photograph pretty well, but Chris takes it to another level. He teaches you about art and you learn in much the same ways the old masters learn. I feel so priveleged to be a part of his class. This class is my sanctuary from all the other cares of the world, where I can learn about art, hone my skills and be around other students who love learning from this inspiring teacher.

Reach a higher level
"The principles of art, like those of human character, do not change from one age to the next. The old masters are dead and gone long ago, but as teachers they are very much alive." This quote by Hereward Lester Cooke is what Chris DiDomizio is all about. His goal is to teach these universal principles which can be applied to any style of art. I am convinced that through his gift of teaching, he has the ability to raise any student to a higher level.

Learn what the art schools don't teach!
I graduated from college with a minor in Art and a few commissioned portraits under my belt. I learned the basics of art in college, but Chris teaches it all on another level. The art schools tend to focus on painting what you FEELChris teaches you the rules to great art and applying them to achieve the message or the mood. Once you complete the exercises, you've learned the rulesand when you can break them. After about a year and a half of classes with Chris, I quit my corporate job and now make a living as a commission-based painter! I completed all the exercises required for the program, but I will continue classes with Chris as long as I live here. I've now been in his classes for six years, and every week I feel like I'm learning something new. Learn about different color theories, creating an S-curve, figure-ground relationships, working on and off the form, achieving more contrast closer to you and less further awaythe list goes on! Whether you "can't draw a stick-figure" or you have years of formal art training under your belt, I can't express enough how much you'll learn from Chris!

Best Art Teacher In Atlanta
I have taken classes at some of the most "prestigious" artistic institutions in Atlanta and have found that Chris is by far the best teacher I have ever had. Chris not only teaches you to paint, he teaches you why. His understanding of how and why the great masters painted translates into a dynamic and meaningful studio experience.

You Can't find a better art teacher
I have wanted to draw and paint my entire life, but never once pursued that desire. I was too intimidated because I knew I didn't have any talent. A friend of mine encouraged me to take a class with her under the instruction of Chris DiDomizio. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Chris gives you the tools to be successful in his class. He not only guides you, he teaches you how to think. It is a wonderful program. Thank you Chris!!

A True Master
Chris is a master painter and a master teacher. His methods don't necessarily come from books, but from actually studying the old masters' works. He also teaches that there is more to painting than getting an accurate likeness on canvas or paper, and it is this insight that sets Chris' teaching -- and ultimately -- his students apart. His class is for anyone who has a desire to really learn art, or for the seasoned artist who just wants to continue their study.

He brings out the best in everyone
I have been taking from Chris for over 6 year now. I came in with no art experience and no drawing skills. He pushes you to do your personal best. Although there are students with termendous natural talent, some are in between, and others . No one comes away from his class with something they wouldn't be proud to hang in their home or give to a friend. His passion for what he does is infectious.

Meaningful Instruction
Mr. Chris di Domizio has taken the mystery out of what makes a painting a masterpiece. All the technique you need is there, but he genuinely cares about your message that you convey in every single touch of ink, graphite, charcoal, and paint that you make. But there is a balance of perfection and excellence; Chris pushes you towards excellence and away from perfection. I feel liberated to be the artist that I am called to be in his class.
