We have taken lessons from a number of Ballroom (Smooth & Rhythm) Instructors within Atlanta and she is one of the best! She is a unique and a special instructor! Tanya is patient as she teaches you steps, technique and style and in a manner that makes sense so you'll want to continue your instructions with her! There are instructors that have strength in either Smooth or Rhythm Dances, but there is no one better that can teach both styles. If you have an opportunity to watch her perform, her love for dance will be apparent and you will appreciate her artistry … and frankly, will inspire you to do more! We can’t recommend her enough! We only hope that you will take the time to familiarize yourself to her dance instructions … and you too will enjoy dance as much as we do!

One of the best dance teachers in Atlanta. Great at helping you get past your own nervousness in order to find the dancer in yourself. Calm and encouraging, she pushes you gently but firmly to take a chance and dance!

I am amazed with how much I have learned taking Latin and Classic Ballroom lessons with Tanya in a little over a year. Have had both group and some private lessons. She is just SO good at showing you what to do and how versus what not to do. Teaches grace versus "scared gracelessness".

I have taken dance lessons for many years now. I began with a different studio in town, and have taken lessons from many other teachers. I found Tanya as an instructor four years ago. I have remained with her ever since because of her professionalism, motivation, and enthusiasm for Ballroom and Latin dance. She is a terrific teacher emphasizing strong fundamentals combined with well choreographed and exciting dance steps. You can not find a better dance instructor in Atlanta.

I have to say she is by far the best teacher within the city. Before I started I didn't think it was possible for me to learn how to dance. I have been surprised I was nervous at first and for the first few weeks i had a tough time catching on. But eventually I did, and now feel comfortable when at a social gather. I definitely feel confident at dance clubs. Tanya is very nice and patient. I would not take any other teacher. She is the best. If you don't believe me, take a few classes and see for yourself.

I studied under Tanya at Top Shelf Dance and she cured me of my two left feet. I fell in love with salsa and bachata b/c of her! She knows how to break down the steps into easily digestible elements. She stresses the fundamentals which is not always the case at the other dance studio. B/c your fundamentals are strong, it's easy for you to move to the more complex steps! And Tanya's also an awesome dancer herself!
