This is my fifth time financing or refinancing a house in this country. Except for one, all other experiences had been positive, but none like this one. In my chasing low rates for a rather unusual loan (10 ARM, I/O), I received enormous help in the form of advice and palettes of rates as a function of locking period and points needed to achieve the targeted interest rate I wanted. I am fairly savvy, but I learned so much more this time around than any other refinance I have completed in the past. Jared Thiele from aasent was always there, by phone or e-mail, or both, until after the deal was closed. Others may advertise good rates. Here you get them, AND THE SERVICE, which is so important when making decisions which involve such large sums. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to do
anything with their mortgage. You feel like with Jared you are making a friend, and you probably are.

I am a recently retired USAF Officer and have purchased 10 mortgages in the past 20 years. Jason "Jay" Zulauf was straight forward, professional and quick to deliver. He provided us with the most competitive rates and top-notch service. My next mortgage will be w/ 'Aasent' and my next Agent will be 'Jay' no matter where I live!

My wife and I bought our second house using aasent. Erik was very easy to work with and guaranteed us we would close on time! We did as promised! The experience was much easier than a previous local company we used with no surprises. Erik is a highly recommended to work with - very knowledgeable and will keep you updated on the process. After four months waitingr the closing, they came with a GFE that had nothing to do with initial offer.

I recently refinanced my mortgage with Aasent Mortgage. My mortgage rate went from 6% to 4.75%. I am very pleased with the rate they could secure for me. Jason Zulauf was my contact person. He returns your calls and e-mails almost immediately. He also helped me greatly in getting a low-rate high-LTV HELOC in addition to my mortgage. Thanks Jason@Aasent. Highly recommended!!

I have used at least 6 mortgage companies to secure mortgages over the past 8 years. Do not use Aasent mortgage or Al Bolton to finance your loan. We had the worst experience so far. Al was very polite and promised us what we wanted when we called him. When it came the time to refinance got closer he would not return calls. We had to call him numerous times to get a hold of him. We almost missed our 30 day lock. After going to settlement the money from the bank showed up 3 days late for the payoff and we were assesed additional interest by our old bank. This amounted to close to $300. Aasent said there was a "funding" problem and initially refused to reimburse us for the interest. I have never seen this this one happen before. After fighting with Assent for 2 weeks Al finally agreed to reimb. us for the interest owed to us "by law" after many e-mails and phone calls. It still took him nearly 3 weeks to reimburse us once he agreed they owed us. We also had to request 4 separate times to get a copy of the appraisal we paid for. After all this he had the audacity to bribe us with a $25 gift card to write a nice review on kudzu. Unfortunately we wrote the review to get the gift card. Now it 4 months later/ 5 e-mails and 2 phone calls and no gift card. Please don't use Aasent Mortgage or Al Bolton's services unless you want to be lied to repeatedly. I don't know how companies like this stay in business they way the economy is. Al - E-mail me if you want to discuss

I am very pleased with the way Aasent Mortgage handled every step of my refinancing effort. Jay Zulauf was my contact, and he is friendly, professional and very expedient. I was able to close th eloan in less than 3 weeks without a hitch.

For the last few months, I have been shopping around for a mortgage company to assist me refinance my loan and I finally came across Aasent Mortgage. They provided me the lowest rates available and the lowest closing costs compared to all the mortgage companies that I contacted. Jay Zulauf was my loan officer and he was there with me throughout the process. He is very ethical and informative. They were able to refinance and close my loan within three weeks. I have already recommended Jay and his company to my family and co-workers.
