Great Office
My 18 month old chipped her two front teeth and had to have pedojackets put on them. Dr. Ellington and Michelle took great care of her. They do great dental work and really know how to handle children. And the children do act better when their parents aren't back there. I am very pleased with them and hope they can take care of my little girl for many years to come. Thanks Dr. Ellington and Michelle!

WHERE CHILDREN ARE TREATED LIKE FAMILY
We have been patients for 13 years, have moved throughout the Atlanta Metro area, and continue to drive one hour to see Dr. Ellington, Holly and the rest of the wonderful staff. Everyone really cares for our children. The entire staff genuinely care, listen, and are gentle in their work. We very highly recommend this business.

Best Pediatric Dental Group!
I have been with Dentistry for Children for a little over 2 years now. All three of my children love this dental group. The staff have always been polite, courteous and patient. I was amazed at the professioanlism and care that was displayed when I first began. My daughter was terrified of the dentist due to her horrible experiences prior to finding this group. She is now excited to go to the dentist as well as my two older children. The facility is very kid- friendly. I have heard some parents complain about the wait but when you are dealing with children you have to be patient. I would rather wait longer b/c the staff is caring for my child than be out quickly and my child is truamatized. You can't please everyone. I for one am so thankful for the staff and professionals. They have made one of the most terrifying experiences pleasurable and most of all strees free!I have referred at least three of my friends and they are delighted as well. Keep up the great work!

Scheduling Nightmares
I've been taking my children to DFC for about 3 years. Getting "in the books" is always a nightmare when the kids have any extra work that needs to be done (fillings). One of my girls had an exam in January, and they found 2 cavities. They did not have an appt available until early APRIL to fill her teeth. It's always like that, too. It seems to me that this office cares more about fitting in as many patients as possible than they do about an overall quality experience. The office staff- some are nice, but there is one who is always there who is SO unfriendly. She always make me feel like I'm inconveniencing her. When I brought my 3 year old in for EXTENSIVE dental work, I was told it was "highly discouraged" that I come back with her. I trusted that they were the professionals and did not. That was a huge mistake. My child was SCARED and HURT, and I wasn't there for her. I'm writing that part of the story in the hopes that no one else feels too intimidated to go back if they want to. Every time we go, I always get the "we are watching this one area" story and then the requests for extra x-rays and floride treatments above and beyond what the insurance will cover. I always leave feeling like they care more for my money than my child.

Mixed Feelings
They seemed to handle my son very well. However, I went in the back with my 4 year old daughter, who does not at all like going to the dentist. I was appauled by the impatience and lack of professionalism of the x-ray technician. My daughter cried the entire time and the technician became more and more frustrated, even with me sitting there watching. The office called me later to schedule another appointment at which time I told them we would not be returning. The office manager spoke with me and apologized profusely. I decided to return and was much more pleased with the second visit. Although most of the staff is very friendly, unfortunately, you may run into a receptionist or technician who is not as nice as the others. I recently spoke with a receptionist who could have used more training in customer service (when I asked her a question she couldnot answer she got a little upset and hung up on me with out a goodbye, have a nice day or thank you). There are hundreds of dentists and doctors in Atlanta, people with move on, with no problem, until they find a place where they and their children are treated with patience and decency - Health care providers need to wake up and realize this.

First time visit
I have been to this office in the past with my older child. I took my 3 yo because I was pleased with tx my older child had. However, my 3yo was back in the exam room for over 1 and 1/2 hours. I just think that is too long for ANYONE to be in a dental chair just for a check-up. If she were that upset and required that kind of time to make her "comfortable" come get me. Communication with the staff was not there until I began to ask questions and in the end get upset. Haven't decided whether I will return with my children.

Merchant Review
You know you have found a great dental group when your child can't wait to go to the dentist, actually looks forward to it. WOW! Kids can entertain themselves with video games, movies etc. while they wait and the staff are so good at communicating with the kids, as well as the parents.
