A Rare Find Among General Contractors
When we first decided to undergo an extensive home addition project, we heard horror stories from folks whose general contractor experiences were disasters. What we found with DPS (discovered here on Kudzu.com) was exactly the opposite. By reading this review, we feel you have just stumbled onto one of Georgia’s top contractors. Words and phrases that describe DPS: integrity, accountable, dependable, quality job, great communications, and a genuine concern for the customer. DPS is big enough to handle just about any job, but small enough to work one-on-one with you so you don't feel like a folder in someone's truck. Two words of wisdom from our positive experience with DPS ... when you enter into a project with a general contractor, go into it with the sense of partnership. Working WITH your contractor results in a much more pleasant experience. Securing a contracting company like DPS who will meet you in the middle and is dedicated to achieving a balance between customer needs and running their business is like striking gold. Also, for large projects, be sure to build in time to periodically review the project expenses to date ... it can help drive decisions as you work through the stages in the project. DPS truly builds relationships with homeowners and we thoroughly enjoyed working with them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

A great overall experience...
Todd and his guys were all very professional and did exceptional work. I highly recommend them and will use them again! They pay attention to the details, as well as the overall job!

Dream come true!!!
Using DPS was an unbelievably positive experience. I am completely serious when I write that this was everything you could ever want in a contracting experience. We had a screen porch added to the back of our house, and it is a beautiful, expertly-crafted, and nicely-designed addition to our home. Todd, the owner, was extremely service oriented, very reasonably priced, and they finished the job well ahead of schedule. The workers were always courteous and pleasant, and they cleaned up the site every day. The finished product is of excellent quality and looks great! Everyone always arrived on time. Additional unplanned items that came up were dealt with fairly and expediently. I cannot express enough how positive this experience has been. I would confidently recommend DPS to anyone. From my conversations with friends and family, I have never heard of as positive an experience with construction as ours with DPS. This is a dream contractor.

Absolutely...THE BEST CONTRACTOR IN TOWN!!!!!
Distinguished Products & Services is very reliable and an excellent value for your money! Todd the owner ensured that the job was done right, on time and on budget. When I wanted to make changes in the light fixtures to be used, he was very flexible and easy to work with. He finished our drop ceiling in just 2 days. He even went above and beyond and installed a hard to fit door at the top of our stairs. You won't go wrong with Todd and DPS. I am planning to hire them back to install a customized deck and front porch. I just can't say enough good things about Todd. He's just that good! David Strickland Completely Satisfied Customer!

Distinguished Products & Services Best in GA!
We used Distinguished Products & Services to finish the bottom level of our split level home. After months of shopping for a contractor, Todd came to our house, evaluated our space and did something no other contractor did...HE LISTENED! He listened not only to what we wanted but he imagined what we needed and made great suggestions all while staying on time and in our budget. Todd's creativity, attention to detail, and great personality are what drove us to use DP&S, and is why we are going to call on him again to redo our living, dining and master bath. Thanks Todd!

Best Contractor I have worked with
Todd was great. I have built 2 houses and dealt with all kinds of contractors. Todd shows up on time, always follows up, and is pleasant to work with. Here is his only lacking item. He tends to not do that great job on the original estimate. You really have to lock down exactly what you want and make no assumptions. It is not that he is trying to trick you, you just have to plan for every little item if you want the most accurate quote and come in on budget. After our 2nd estimate he hit the budget fine, but it was quite higher than the first one. To be fair to Todd, we had him quote 4 projects and he quoted them all. He is so good, we are planning to use him for our Master Bath, Basement Bath, and Garage addition. We just know to lock down the estimates early.

Please understand that the overwhelming majority of our jobs come in at or below budget (99%+) and that when we exceed the quote, it is because of changes that the Customer makes, knowing that it will impact the quote. Finally, a contractor you can trust
Over the last few years, I have had various services done to my house. Being a woman, I have often felt that companies are charging me too much or that I have to pitch a fit to get decent service. NOT the case with Todd and DPS. They are great! Helped me get a TON of work done on my house that I didn't/couldn't do and charged me a fair rate. Everyone told me to expect to go over budget, but Todd was very cognizant of my requirements and sticking to the budget. He crew did high quality work and I was very happy with the entire process. They worked with my schedule, and always cleaned up after themselves. If/when I need a contractor in the future, Todd will be my first call.

Seems to be stretched to thin
Todd came to my house on a Tuesday to measure for an estimat and said he would get back to me in a couple of days with a quote. I waited till Saturday and called his cell phone and his wife said he would call me right back. I called and left a message on his office number and did not get a call back. Thursday (Thanksgiving) I got an e-mail from him and to be honest his quote was much higher than some of the other ones I received. He called me the next Monday to see why I had given him a bad rating and I explained my frustration. His excuse was that he was rushing to get out of town for the holiday and he had problems with his e-mail server. If that was the case a simple phone call would have saved a lot of frustration. Todd seemed like a very nice guy but I cannot do business like that.

home overhaul-major renovation
Todd Hamlin was one of the most professional and detailed contractors that I have dealt with. Our home renovation WAS Extensive... removal of walls,total kitchen renovation,two full baths,hardwood floors,tile work, ..his team was professional,neat,and customer focused...He let our vision become reality within our budget...I would HIGHLY recommend TODD and his company...
