David Cornell, MD Urology

After going through 3 different surgery-happy urologists with no social skils, I am thankful for Dr. Cornell and his treatment of my kidney stone. I spent a week going from doctor to doctor and was getting very frustrated how insensitive and "knife-happy" these doctors were. On a Friday afternoon, after 5:00, I came across Dr. Cornell's reviews and emailed him right away. To my surprise, he emailed me back and kept in contact through the weekend to check in. Coming in on his morning off, he scheduled me first thing Monday morning. Needless to say, I never needed surgery and my stone finally passed. During this process, he was very sympathetic and professsional and does not rush into the surgery option. His staff is very friendly and make every attempt to keep you comfortable. Dr Cornell is one of the most personable physicians that I have worked with in a while. My husband went in for the Big V and Dr Cornell a great informative session before making our next appointment. My husband said that he worked well, and quickly - but not too quick. He showed the results without being too specific, and did not cause too much pain.

I felt comfortable referring Dr Cornell to another family member for an even more complicated urological condition. He did not jump straight to surgery, yet recommends alternative treatments to try first. That consult is upcoming and I will update.

I really felt Dr. Cornell took the time to listen and educate me on a problem I have had. I had went to a few doctors and a lot of testing, but Dr. Cornell found the problem right away. Wish I would have came in sooner.

I have this image of him, sleeping, walking, driving..everything with a prescription pad glued to his hand. If your looking to indepth cause and treatment to health issues.then "no". If you love popping pill..go for it.

I have been fortunate (knock on digital wood) to have found doctors that take their responsibilities professionally and personally with compassion and understanding for their patients. Dr. Cornell is one of them. I felt completely at ease with him. Kudos also to his office staff and assistants as well.

Working in the healthcare industry I encounter physicians on a daily basis. I must say that Dr. Cornell is not your normal physician. He is genuinely interested in his patients and takes the time to understand your questions and concerns. The day following my vasectomy he called me to check in and gave me his cell phone number if I needed anything over the weekend. He is a first class physician and his support staff is top notch. I’ll recommend him to all my friends!

I travelled from Michigan(the first of many people) to see Dr Cornell about a procedure. It was the best decision I ever made. I recommend him to all my friends(locally and out of state), and they agree with me, you won't find a better Urologist.

I visited Dr. Cornell for two procedures plus followups. He is by far the best doctor I have ever been to. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, caring and attentive. There is no other one like him, anywhere. It's a pleasure to visit him, and I just wish more doctors were like him. Great staff too! I always feel extremely comfortable and confident in his care, and am looking forward to being a longtime patient of his. Thank you for being above the rest Dr. Cornell.

Like several of the reviews I have read here, I too HAD been a long time(8 years plus) prostitis sufferer. I went through several Urologists as well as GP's, in my opinion they all pale to Dr Cornell! He shows a deep sense of caring about each of his patients, while recognizing that we are all individuals requiring care that is appropriate for each of us/you. Going a bit further, the problem I generally have with a doctor is they do not have good listening skills. During my FIRST appointment with him I felt like I was his only patient of the day and, he was there to hear me out an cure me.which by the way he has!!!! I found Dr. David Cornell to be warm without being fussy, professional without being pretentious, and attentive without being too intrusive (even if one of his procedures, was ahem, a wee bit invasive--"I'll try to be gentle" says the good doctor. "Don't just 'try'" says I, "BE gentle!" And so he was. Not too bad at all. I would see him again and recommend him to others.
