Golf on the South West Side
Browns Mill Golf Course is a less than challenging 18 hole course. When I last played, it was in the summer and while early in the morning - Tee-Times are not difficult to obtain -even on weekends, the heat was blistering. There are few shade trees under which to escape the sweltering summer Hotlanta sun. There are several water hazards to be noted and the ever-present flocks of canadian geese who bear silent witness to your less than substantial drives, your "wish I had used a higher iron" fairway shots and last but not least - your great putts that should have fallen.
The clubhouse is not the best, but not the worst in the city. I personally recommend the course for early spring or late fall use.
